We are fans, I cringe through most of it though Grin

We saw Simon Amstell live just before he started writing this and he was very funny.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 27/04/2012 16:00

I saw Simon Amstel live! I adore his comedy, I really do. I was really sad when he left Buzzcocks.

ZeroFucksGiven · 27/04/2012 16:03

We saw him at the Lowery (Manchester) thinking back it must have been 2008 or very early 2009.

Its funny when you start to identify your life events around your pregnancies Blush

ZeroFucksGiven · 27/04/2012 16:07

Scrap that, I was mistaken, it was October 2009 and I was very very pregnant, I thought I would have remembered sitting through a show being hot and uncomfortable but nope.

blabalalalablabla · 29/04/2012 16:45

just watched this weeks episode - it's fantastic :o

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/04/2012 18:06

I love it and sit transfixed by Auntie Liz's moustache, it steals the show every time she talks

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/04/2012 20:07

Auntie Liz's facial hair

DP and I have taken to juming out on each other and shouting that horrific nasal noise Liz did when she came in the room to show off her yellow outfit Grin

blabalalalablabla · 29/04/2012 20:25

superb - whenever I have a bad day at work I'm coming straight to this thread and clicking on that link.

I don't remember the uncle in last series? (my memory is shocking though)

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/04/2012 23:02

I don't think he appeared in the last one but he is a very welcome addition Grin

DH hates it and he is North London Jewish. I would give it a go but he won't watch! Any Freudians out there who can explain it? He says its just not funny.

dictionarydiva · 11/05/2012 13:00

I just did a search to see if any MNers are watching this and am pleased to see you are! I nearly wet myself laughing at last nights episode and think this series has been even stronger than the first.

What are people's favourite moments from this series so far? I loved the bit in last weeks episode where Tanya was explaining to Simon that he had to say he brought the stripper but very much enjoyed Simon's line, "maybe she's stealing because she feels he was stolen from her, no?" and Tanya's brilliant line about her dad, "He was your Grandpa and you loved him, but was he the first black man to appear on MTV?"

This week it goes to Liz for, "if you didn't want us to kiss maybe we should have gone to see something less romantic!" Tanya: "It was SHREK!"

Brilliant, brilliant show. Grin

catsmother · 11/05/2012 15:03

Last night's was just fabulous ...... I cringed throughout but it was so hilarious.

anonacfr · 11/05/2012 15:25

That Lion King song rendition was hilarious. I'd read about it in the TV giude, saw it on Graham Norton last week and still cried with laughter watching it last night.
Loved Clive describing Liz as a 'horny monkey'.

warmandwooly · 11/05/2012 22:45

Love it. The beeb haven't imo made much of a fuss about this series so I missed ep 1. Finally something decent to watch on Thursday!

bluebump · 11/05/2012 22:54

I really love this too, Simon Amstell is brilliant!

wildfig · 13/05/2012 09:43

Oh God. I missed this week's episode but those tiny shreds of horror revealed above have made me click straight onto iPlayer. Clive... and Liz?! [eye bleach]

dictionarydiva · 13/05/2012 15:48

It was an amazing episode, Wildfig.... hope you enjoyed it. "Is Barry not satisfying you? You know there are books you can get? Do you want me to do a Google?" Grin

mycatsaysach · 13/05/2012 18:52

Grin simon is great

wildfig · 13/05/2012 21:51

OMG. 'He was relentless... he bought me a big bag of wine gums...'

It's brilliant and the actors are perfectly cast.
