Advice on Homeland please...

I'm now on episode 2 of Homeland and absolutely Loving it. The only thing is the violence in it .. For example his colleague being beaten to death .. It's giving me nightmares tbh (yes probably hormonal!) . So the question is, does the depiction of violence continue at this level or is that just at the beginning? And 10 or so episodes in, is it still holding your attention?
Does the plot development make it worth me holding my breath and closing my eyes from time to time?
Ps - I had to stop watching Spooks after two of them nearly drowned to death in a cage in the Thames as the water came flooding in but it Was Really dragged out!
Bottom line ... Am I too much of a wuss for homeland??
Thanks for any replies!

It's fantastic, and there's more sex than violence iirc. Enjoy. :)

I think you would prefer the walking dead tbh Wink

there are more flashbacks of the beating in later episodes (maybe twice?) but I don't think there's anything else as graphic violence-wise. Plenty of sex mind Wink.

Thanks guys .. And do you still rate it plot wise or does it just start getting silly?? I don't mind Some violence if the plots really good!

It's the most engrossing programme to come out of the States in years, if not decades. Stick with it.

Ahhh fantastic! That's my type of programme! I shall watch episode 3 tonight then. The one advantage of being miles behind is that I get to watch it nightly! Thanks all of you for your helpful comments. Xx

It plays with my mind every week - I think I've got it sorted and then WHOOMPH off we go again on a different track!

I've given up trying to figure out what's going on as it makes my head hurt. I'm hoping the last episode will explain things to me Smile.

They're available on the Internet .. Just type in "watch episode x homeland". Some sites want you to subscribe but I've managed to avoid that so far :)

I'm so jealous of you being miles behind and being able to watch it in a big clump.

I am panting each week for the next episode.
