Saved this for when DH was away but deleted part of last episode.
Should really be a message on Skybox for numpties like me asking "do you really want to delete".

Anyway I have a few questions as it is no longer on I-player.

Gather from previous thread that Alfie did it and so his siblings were left alone.

Why did he do it?

Why was the Somali boyfriend on the estate?

Assume Rochelle missed her exam?

Who threw the rock through Ted's window?

Why was the younger brother at the back of Ted's house, leading to him being locked in the shed?

Did Carol feature any more? I viewed up to where the police came knocking and she lied and gave her son an alibi

Thanks

He did it because it was his initiation into the gang bug he really didn't want to do it.

Rochelle's brother had her phone and took it along to the gang so they text the boyfriend asking him to come and see her.

Wasn't clear about the exam but I assumed she missed it.

The 'posh' friend of Alfie through the rock.

The younger brother was running/cycling away after the other boy threw the rock.

Carol left her job and you saw her at the end working on her stand up stuff.

The reason Alfie gave the gun to the police was because he round his little sister aiming it at the baby as she kept crying - was really chilling. He then wouldn't speak until 1pm when he knew his mum would be home.

I thought it was excellent and the actor who played Alfie was excellent but felt so sad for him.

Just to add to MrsCB's thorough response - Alfie killed the crisp packet man, the Somalian boy was ok in the end (although in hospital, which meant - we are lead to assume - that Rochelle missed her exam). There was a scuffle during Alfie's initiation and he shot the crisp packet man who was on the estate to apologise for holding Rochelle's brother against his will in his shed and try and clear the whole mess up.

The gang had originally set upon the Somalian boy (after luring him there using Rochelle's phone earlier that day) and crisp man was on the estate at the same time - he went over to stop the beating and thats when Alfie arrived with the gun, shooting the crisp man in the melee.

Was really very chilling when Alfie's sister had the gun pointed at her baby sister. All really sad to be honest, the whole thing quite depressed me. Really well acted though, especially the boy who played Alfie. All of them were great.

I was very depressed too Cheeser and so angry at Alfie's mother. Also wondered what would happen to an Alfie in that situation - pondered they'd realise his mother had been away and wasnt having chemo . . .

I spent a lot of time pondering this.

I was so cross with Alfie's mum just leaving them, then crying down the phone to him saying she missed him and wanted to come home Hmm

It stayed with me too for quite some time after, MrsCB. Doesn't help that I live on the estate where that was based (it's not quite as grim as they painted it, they used lots of shots from around London to make it look more 'rugged').

I am also currently pregnant and had a good wail after to DP about what we were doing bringing an innocent child into the wilds of Hackney Hmm Confused.

Thanks to you all.

I had forgotten they showed the phone was missing and also wondered why Alfie kept looking at the clock. All makes sense now.

Agree about the actor playing Alfie, he should get a BAFTA nomination IMHO

Loved it. Wouldn't want to get shot in the melee though Grin
