Anyone watching/going to watch?

I feel old (actually I am, was born in 1962), it all looks soooo old fashioned. Even as the credits were rolling I saw a Chopper and Spaghetti Junction!
Even the voices sound different.

Watching. Born in 1979.

Am recording it. 70's was such a wonderful decade.

Bloody hell I had no idea how old David Bowie is.

Racist bastards.

I saw Ted Heath's smug face and had to turn over.

His French accent was priceless.

I look back on it with affection. The three day week didn't touch me. I remember the Power cuts though!! Rooting for candles!

It was great being a kid in the Seventies. I remember the Summer of 76 - i was 8 and my brother had just been born. It was incredibly hot. Don't think there has been a hotter one since

Oh massively with affection. It was such an innocent time - no Class A drugs, experimenting in music styles, when politics meant politics. Just crazy times.

and the summer of 76 had a plague of ladybirds! Stuck on every light/bright coloured wall.

Missed the programme, but I've just watched the music show. Blimey. I remember watching Sparks and admiring Ron's moustache. '76 was a belting summer to be a 13 year old.

Oh, the BBC have it wrong re the New York Dolls and punk. They were American Punk, which equates to what we call Glam. They, Blondie and The Ramones were all influenced by Dr Feelgood's album Down At The Jetty. As were many British acts. The first punk single release is widely recognised as New Rose by The Damned. Humph.

nicholas teakozy I like your style. I have been having a conversation of one about the music prog on the other 70s thread and waiting for someone to come and chat to me about it. I have nothing more to say now except that I LOVE Dr Feelgood.

Anyone think Rod Stewart looked a bit spaced out? Or was he trying too hard with his seductive look?

never realised quite how attractive he was in his heyday!

oh lordy, Rod was totally hot I liked his prancy white suit. I was also thinking how nice it is to see men dressed up and looking like they care as opposed to the indie look where the biggest rock stars in the world shuffle on in jeans looking like they are off down the pub. I rather like a little bit of dandyism in a man from time to time - particularly when appearing on TOTP.
