Does anyone else really hate Susan Delfino from Desperate Housewives?!

Just that really.

I have watched several seasons of the show since DS1 popped out and I've always thought that she was overly emotional and generally interfering in other peoples' lives.

She seems to be excelling herself in the new season though - trying to emotionally blackmail her daughter into keeping her (unwanted) baby and refusing to acknowledge that the daughter has a right to have the baby adopted if she wants!!

So does anyone else feel this way or am I just a mean and miserable person?

I like her. I think all 4 main characters are brilliant and out of the 4 Susan is one of the best! Gabby is extremely selfish and manipulative IMO, though I do love her too.

I'm possibly a couple of episodes ahead of you - DH and I watched 2 episodes back to back and both bawled our eyes out at what happens next.

She's a total drip!
Giving a personal cheque with her address on to the widow of the man whose murder she helped cover up? Painitng terrible pictures confessing to it and basically being ditzy every week! Give me Renee or Lynette any day!

I do think Terri H could 'tone down' the acting a bit.

Lynette is my favourite, though has she had some work? Her lips don't look great.

I gave up on DH about two seasons ago but I always hated her character.

It was like Some Mothers Do 'Av 'Em....she gets locked out of her house naked so she hides in a bush and then falls backwards into a diry puddle and then gets covered in feathers and then the hunk from across the road sees her....blah blah cringe blah

Gabby is very definitely labelled as 'the selfish one' and will also admit it, frequently - it's one of the things I like about her!

But Susan seems to constantly be doing whatever she considers 'right' and won't listen to anyone else's point of view until they sit her down for the mandatory heart-to-heart at the end of each episode (although admittedly that may say more about writing style than Susan personally).

She's always got on my nerves for being such a ditzy Pollyanna character anyway, but her recent insistence that she has a right to dictate what happens to her unborn grand-daughter really riles me for some reason. Also, Julie's version of their 'happy life together' post-divorce paints Susan as a self-centred needy woman who pretty much forced her 12 year-old daughter have to look after her and as far as I can see, she hasn't changed that much....

Lynette is DEFINITELY my favourite - she's so determinedly unfluffy that I love her a little bit :)

Nope. Susan Delfino is definitely annoying. She doesn't ever seem to have the insight to see how her actions will affect other people, and gets herself into scrape after scrape without ever learning from her mistakes.

Love Lynnette. I'm surprised she didn't get rid of the chauvinistic Tom years before.

Gabby's my favourite. So beautiful as well

Susan - dislike the way she never looks happy, always that 'intense' look. Borders on insanity every series.
Lynette - was my favourite until I realised how bossy she was with Tom.
Bree - bad, bad scripting this series. Mainly the slutty bar/bedroom antics.

I can't STAND the Susan character - meddling and manipulative. And I'm always frightened her skinny legs are going to snap.

Gaby is my favourite - very funny as well as straight talking.

I tend to really like the secondary characters too - Edie and Rene are both fantastic characters. Let's hope they don't kill off Rene at the end of this series.

I love Karen. Lynette is my favourite out of the four of them. She has fab toned arms as well. I don't think she has had anything done. I'm steaming ahead with this series. I don't know how they will end the whole thing. I will miss it.

Gaby is my fav closely followed by Lynette. They always make me laugh.

I never used to think much of Susan but this series she's really gone downhill in my opinion.
Very meddling and feels she needs to literally paint a picture of what happened that night when that's basically a confession. It's always about making sure shes ok and everything has to right in her mind no matter how other people feel about it.

I like Susan and she has an amazing storyline coming up which I think might make you like her more.

Can´t see the point of her or how anyone puts up with her.

I agree with you on the husband front...

I've never liked Carlos since he basically told Gabby she had to bottle up her feelings over her biological daughter and refused to allow her any outlet at all. Plus he seems rather controlling in general.

Tom - the nice guy who wants everyone to like him but is completely ineffectual when partnered to someone competent (although Lynette can be a bit of a hypercritical cow IMO).

Orson - controlling, needy, sulky monster much?!

Mike is a bit bland compared to all of them but at least he's sensible. Susan desperately needs some sensible in her life! I did chuckle when he mild-manneredly pointed out that when Julie came to visit she would 'end up sleeping 4 feet away from the baby she didn't want to keep'. Even Susan couldn't argue her way out of that one

She is the worst character in the series and i hate how it seems to revolve around her a lot. She reminds me of cruela deville. She is constantly medling, spying and betraying people, and talks like a baby and acts like a child. They should have unfriended her instead of Eddie. Bad bad terrible acting by Terri Hatcher.

I hate Susan so much she's always making everything about her like when Bre's husband died she still made everything about how zach is her bf son and she's so obnoxious and she relies to much on her daughter.

Omg this is 2017 and i friggin hate her. In fact the other actresses also not getting along with teri hatcher. I cant stand her character.

Susan: Always playing the victime. always making everything about her. Always interfering in other's business. She flirts and sleeps around all the time and she pretends that she's madly in love with Mike.. Smh.. I hate her and I hate the fact that she's the "main caracter" . A hypocrite sluty stupid and needy crazy woman... Oh and the constant sad and whinye look on her eyes makes me wanna slap her face.

I'm just rewatching and cringe each time I hear that ridiculously 'little girl' voice the dippy actions and all tagged onto a woman who looks more like a dude
