Any Mulder/Scully shippers out there?

Just been trawling some you tube vids for a blog post. I haven't watched the X Files in years but was obsessed with it in my late teens. I was such a 'shipper' desperate for the will the won't they moments. Anyone else want to reminisce?

Oh I was absolutely obsessed! Loved it! And yes, like you, it was all about "will they, wont they."
Geek alert Best episode was called Bad Blood and was the one told from both Mulder and Scully's point of view...so funny!

Oooh pleased there's another X Files fan...

VodkaJelly · 14/04/2012 21:08

ooh yes, me me me, waves hand in the air I lurrved this show. My favourite was when they were in a town and it changed their personality, Scully was all angry and smoked, then at the end when they were getting in the she said "I'll drive".

Wish they would bring it back

DillyTante · 14/04/2012 21:12

Oh, I don't have a best episode, just lots of best moments. Love Small Potatoes where the shapeshifter pretends to be Mulder and seduces Scully. Bad Blood was good, also had the rather dishy Wilson brother.

Very funny one is Arcadia where they have to pretend to be married.

Ah, the ones where they argued showed their love the most. The one where Scully has that fling with that crazy bloke and gets a tattoo, and Mulder says "All this because I didn't get you a desk?" and she says "Not everything is about you" and he is completely flabbergasted.

I happened to discover that some even geekier people than me have put videos on you tube with clips of all the 'shipper' moments to soppy music, oh, it makes me so happy Grin

Ohhhh I LOVE the X files. I have all of them on DVD... I might have to start from the beggining and watch them all again!

NigellasGuest · 14/04/2012 21:26

does anyone know why it's called shipping?

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 14/04/2012 21:27

Love it love it love it !!! My favorite episode was demons ( think that's the name of it) the one where he's jailed for the murder of a old couple but doesn't remember a thing. Scully finds him in a motel covered in blood and it turns out some dr guy had drilled a hole in his head to help him remember things about his child hood. Also lOve ice. My fave line is been they r all examining eachother naked for evidence of a parasitic worm and mulder says " before anyone passes judgement remember we r in the arctic" :)

VivaLeBeaver · 14/04/2012 21:28

Lots of episodes on sky Atlantic these days which is good.

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 14/04/2012 21:31

I have box set :o I'll be buried with it I think :o

DillyTante · 14/04/2012 21:45

Nigella, think it is is relationSHIP which is why it is shipping.

Ah thank you Dilly Smile

whatkungfuthat · 15/04/2012 15:58

I loved it too, but I went off it when they did that series that Mulder wasn't in. The 'Cher' episode was a favourite

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 15/04/2012 18:54

I really wanted to hate the series and John dogget when mulder wasn't in it and granted it wasn't the same but I thought it was great to see scully take charge for a change and think dogget proved himself to be one if the good guys. The episode where mulder returns near death was a good one though. No doubt that scully was delighted to have him back :)

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2012 19:01

I loved The X-Files!

The Eugene Tooms episodes were good. "Is there any way I can get it off my fingers quickly without betraying my cool exterior?"

DillyTante · 15/04/2012 22:44

And of course we all know AD Skinner was also in love with Scully, right?

So much so he slept with a hooker lol :o

warmandwooly · 16/04/2012 21:09

I was a masssivenerdabout X files. I had videos, t shirts, comics, books, graphic novels and songs inspired by the x files including the foo fighters. Like I said I was a massivenerd--fan

Fave episodes were the Eugene Toomes ones, the one with the people who lived for ever (in caves) and the one with the twin who used to come out of his brothers body.
They are doing an anniversary show (not a new episode)this month!

Chooster · 16/04/2012 21:14

I loved it too! Me and my friend used to call each other up after every episode to discuss the best bits! Normally involving Mulder!

ghosteditor · 16/04/2012 21:15

"if there's an iced tea in that bag, it could be love"...

I'm still a massive 'shipper actually! And yes, it's shipping because of 'relationship'. I was a huge fan from the age of 13 and used to read all sorts of porny fanfic. I could probably dig up a few fic recs if anyone is interested? Does anyone know if people are still writing good fic?

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 16/04/2012 21:30

" must be fate. It's root beer"

somewherewest · 19/04/2012 11:14

This reminds me of my teens! I was a massive shipper and had a huge crush on Mulder (I still have a thing for men in dark suits Grin).

somewherewest · 19/04/2012 11:18

And Scully was my girl crush. I love the way she was very cool and sceptical while he was quite emotional and credulous - total reversal of gender stereotypes. I lost track of it after about series 4 though...just looked it up online and I see they got together in the end.

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/04/2012 16:18

loved it and so obvious they would get together in the end

bea · 21/04/2012 23:22
