Have series linked this as thought looked good, but as usual I probably won't get round to watching. Let me know if it's worth it.

GalaxyAddict · 30/03/2012 23:33

I am watching it, heart in my throat. Poor little Paige.

Moln · 30/03/2012 23:40

Oh, god what a powerful drama. Very disturbing indeed on many levels. I am......actually, I don't know what I feel. Many emotions.

SkipTheLightFanjango · 30/03/2012 23:49

Those sad eyes at the end...

One Night, I think, wasn't it? They've been brilliant. So powerful. I missed tonight's, but I'll get it on catch up.

Moln · 31/03/2012 06:09

oh it is One Night.

Der me! Managed to get through all four with the name wrong

One Day is a book (film as well now I think)

Well then, Alfie's situation (in One Night!) has made me so mad!

Last night's episode was the best of the four (Ted's -1st one) also good. Lots of praise to all the children, especially Alfie and his sister Fish. Well done.

AmIthatbad · 31/03/2012 17:52

I have been hooked on One Night all week. It touched me so much, that I am still thinking about wee Alfie and his family today.

The only thing I missed was - and I feel such a numpty -did Ted (Douglas Hodge) actually die. We saw everyone at the end, including Rochelle's b/f in hospital, but we only saw Ted's wife crying in the garden?

From a personal point of view, though, having had spells of being highly agitated through anti-social behaviour near where I live, this reminds me that although it feels personal at the time, it often isn't.

Anyway, so good that I will watch the whole week again on catch-up. Definitely an award winning drama.

ggirltwin2pinot · 31/03/2012 17:54

I watched the first two and really enjoyed them..have I missed one then??

AmIthatbad · 31/03/2012 18:22

You've missed two - there were 4

icapturethecastle · 31/03/2012 20:35

What an excellant drama, reminded me of The Slap. I went to bed and couldn't get Alfie and his brother and sisters out of my head. In fact all their stories. More of this BBC, please.

icapturethecastle · 31/03/2012 20:38

FYI it is repeated on Monday morning at 2.30am

ElphabaisWicked · 31/03/2012 20:41

Yes I think ted did die as Alfie was going to be charged with murder ( though would surely have been manslaughter)

Moln · 01/04/2012 07:05

it was similar to the slap (remind me to), but I certainly prefered it, the characters were nicer for a start! Though it might have just been the barbeque and the different viewpoints - this actually waas the same time period over amd over again, The Slap was a continuing time was it?

AlsoI felt that with each veiw point you realised something different such as Rochelle wasn't full of attitude, as you might have interpreted from the first episode.

We really loved it. Who says UK TV is crap and we need all that American rubbish?!! I'm going to try The Syndicate next.

mopbucket · 01/04/2012 17:37

stressheaderic · 01/04/2012 22:53

I enjoyed this enormously. Only stumbled upon it by chance aswell, it didn't seem to be promoted very widely.
Great drama. More please.

noddyholder · 01/04/2012 23:13

I really enjoyed this. Such a change not to be bombarded with crap tv. Also watching and loving White heat and Homeland.

dontagreewithit · 01/04/2012 23:26

I really enjoyed it, caught up with the last episode today & could hardly breathe as I was watching the last bit with Paige crying and Fish wanting her to stop...it was so tense.

Loved seeing the different stories from the different characters, but also having the same story running as a thread though it.

Hope they do something similar again.
