If you loved Band of Brothers and Game of Thrones, can you help me?

Dd's boyfriend is 22 next week, he loves boxed sets of dvds and these are two of his favourites.

I've seen neither of them so am hoping that someone can suggest something that he may like. I'm a West Wing woman and I don't think that's really up his street.

I've not seen Game of Thrones - but what about The Pacific or Boardwalk Empire?

He sounds like my dh.

That being said, the only 2 other program's he likes are Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead

DH likes Game Of Thrones, I have no clue what it is or what it's about but he also likes True Blood if that helps?

God, I wish my DH liked Band of Brothers and True Blood, we'd be much happier together I'm sure...

The Walking Dead is great, but if he doesn't have The Sopranos or Deadwood I'd go for them first.

seaweed thank you for confirming that Band of Brothers isn't for me. It's got such a good reputation that I'm often tempted, but now I know it was made by the same people who made The Pacific, I'll pass.

I hated The Pacific. I endured its relentless tedium interspersed with regular short bursts of violent death, much as the soldiers must have done at the time.

Nooooo limitedperiod, I love BoB but thought the Pacific was incredibly dull.

Agree with jackster I loved Band of Brothers (have watched it through 3 times) but absolutely hated The Pacific - it was very boring in comparison. Please try it!

DH and I loved Band of Brothers, but he didn't rate Pacific at all.

We're currently working out way through the Lost boxset, OP, and would also recommend Firefly and Battlestar Galactica
