I can't stand the pair of them, self centered twits. Simon would be better off with Leanne (especially since they are both on the sauce), but i don't think she has any rights to him though. She's not his mother and as far as i know hasn't adopted him. If it's up to Peter, simon will have a string of "mummies".

This is going to be the next 'thrilling' storyline isn't it? Loads of mudslinging between the alcoholic and the ex-prostitute. Where are Simon's other grandparents now?

Yes, but the fact that she was a prostitute and everyone knew it has now been conveniently forgotten in the new 'Saint Leanne' Corro.

I think that it is OK that Leanne has got over her past: it was the work of years and shows possibilities of growth and redemption. Longer running and gradual character development I sadly lacking (and sometimes just plain wrecked) all too often at the moment.

Peter and Carla are dire together - and are an example of that sort of dreadful, implausible reversal (the slower struggling apart was a far better storyline).

The childcentred storylines - looming custody battle over Simon, Kylie's mum from hell and half assed HE - are just glib and unconvincing. Joseph, Hope and Amy have vanished, as have their parents - there is no sense of community rubbing along on different levels OT of a multi-stranded story.

I's just one "phew golly" after another (with other characters vanishing completely between times). They're ruining it.

And they've still not killed off Betty!
