Just poor diet and dental hygiene I think. I was reminded of a recent thread where people were arguing this didn't happen because they didn't know children who had had their teeth removed.

It's shocking and poverty isn't an excuse, people on benefits get free treatment. Sorry but it's lazy and generally skanky parents. What idiot allows kids to not brush their teeth - yuk.

I can't believe the expert said that people ration toothpaste because of the cost.
I've just checked, Asda toothpaste own brand is 50p a tube and you use a pea sized amount. Plus there are always free samples if you actually go to the dentist.

I've just made dd1 watch it too. We were having a debate five minutes before about her brushing her teeth so a documentary on four year olds having their bad teeth taken out was a gift (shes 4). She went straight into the bathroom to brush them.
