Hi everyone,

I know people have posted about this already but I can't take it anymore so i'm a woman on a mission!

DS used to adore the Zingzillas, I would record it and then play it when he got up in the mornings so it would buy me precious getting ready time before we had to leave the house. On my days off we'd watch it at the normal time together and sing and dance but now the stupid people at the BBC have completely ruined it and both of us now hate it. DS actually goes "no no no" everytime it comes on :(

Its such a shame because he is such a musical kid.

So i've made an official complaint to the BBC (which I know will make no difference what so ever but it made me feel better!) and I urge anyone else to do it too (just so they feel better)!

I really miss the moaning stones, they actually used to make me laugh, grrrrr!

Is it driving anyone else mad or is it just me?

Zingzillas drives me mad in general so I tend to turn it off but I am happy to support any harebrained idea to keep any kids programme the same so our children still like them. God knows I remember the wrongness that was New Waybuloo. Smile

And I want Show Me Show Me Back!

EightiesChick · 14/03/2012 08:46

OP, I agree - all the narrative and characters stuff is one and now it's just focused around the final number. Can you get the old ones on DVD at all?

I don't understand why Zingzillas has lost 5/10 mins running time when some other kids' programmes seem so long - usually IMO the dullest ones. Civilisations can rise and fall while I'm sitting through Postman Pat, or at least it seems that way. I watched Tree Fu Tom the other day (DS was v keen to see what it's about) and it felt as if it had gone on for YEARS by the end. Yet Zingzillas seems to have been deemed too long?

HollyRose6 · 14/03/2012 12:17

Hi thanks for the support!

Pascha yes new waybuloo was horrific, absolutely shocking. And I want show me show me back too. Damn i'm now humming the theme tune.

Eightieschick I think Tree Fu Tom is really long and I also don't get it at all but I guess i'm not their target audience so i'm not supposed to get it. DS can't stand postman pat, he walks out the room if its on but he loved the Zingzillas and he's called Zac so he used to get all excited and would point at the TV going "Zac, Zac TV Zac" so sweet but its been ruined by stupid people at the stupid BBC, grrrrr.

I actually said im my complaint that I don't even expect them to make any more, i'd be happy if they just repeated the old ones.

I will look for dvds!

I'm with you i could cope without it but ds used to love it Sad. off to send late might randy email to the bbc

ThisIsNotWhatIWasAfter · 14/03/2012 22:33

That may be a ranty email stupid predictive text. Although a randy one might be more persuasive Grin.

peachsmuggler · 14/03/2012 22:37

Yeah, new one is rubbish, not enough Tod, too many "zing boppers"... I'd say, by the look of it Zingzillas costs a small fortune to make so new ones are a shorter cheapo version to placate audience, ravenous for more. Shame.

has it changed? how? I hate it so much I tune out if it is on
