This was 1 or even 2 weeks ago but I can't get it out of my head. It was extraordinarily well done but just so chilling and awful. Adrian Edmondson was amazing in the lead role. Anyone care to share the pain?

Thought i was the only person who had watched this - totally agree with you - so chilling, its really stayed with me too - DH & I keep talking about it. brilliant acting by Ade Edmonson wasn't it?

thank the Lord, somebody else! all the tv reviews were about bl**dy Big Brother

yes he was incredible. Perfect face for a bureaucrat but somehow expressed a huge amount of emotion and intelligence. lots of good acting - the woman who played the guy in the control room's wife was great too i thought.

despite the horror, it was presumably the Sound of Music compared to the reality. Ny God.

We had 2 boys from Belarus stay with us 2 summers ago as part of a church scheme to get kids out of that region & into clean air/ decent food etc. Apparantly the land is still contaminated & food is still grown in it etc. Loads of the kids have thyoid problems, but the region is just sooo poor. Kids came with nothing! We showed them a bag of hand me down clothes (still too big for my DS) & they thought it was christmas! It was a great experience for all of us.
