Me too. He's amazing, what a top bloke.

But don't ever tell me that swimming is good for toning- all that training and he still had moobs!

Absolute top bloke. We went down to cheer him on when he did the swim (and my children were there in the film tonight - they'll be chuffed tomorrow Grin). He chatted to us, and came across as such a decent bloke off camera that he really went up in my estimations. Although these text donations get expensive, but you can't say no can you...?

It was a brilliant swim - well done David. He's not an obvious athlete, but he must be fit as hell with great endurance. And I imagine having a bit of flesh on your bones is an advantage in cold water !

DD adores this man, she nearly wet her self when she saw Miranda too.
What he achieved was immense. I know it was almost a year ago, but I texted to swim so did she.
He appeared to be really good natured all the way through. Only once did he say give me a minute. I'd have been a properly miserable cow if I had to do it.

I thought he was wonderful too - what an inspiration. Apparently he is still suffering from flare ups of giardiasis from the swim and problems with his back, although that didn't stop him planning to do a charity climb this year but his wife has told him she doesn't want him to.

It was brilliant wasn't it? i was in awe.
