YAY a fellow viewer- hello!

Last night was when Solomn was born - I got a bit teary!

Interesting that Blonde woman with long hair, name escapes me, said she never really like living all together and is really bad a relationships and much prefers living separately! Shock

Dh thinks they are all stroking his ego and he is the most self centred git on the planet. As I said I quite like the idea of all the support - if there is real support. I think Kody really rocked the boat looking for a new wife when Christine had a new baby AND pnd.

Interesting how most of the kids say they wouldn't entertain the idea of that life style and also seemed less than thrilled about having a new sibling.

Yes that was the first series wan't it? That's why they moved to Vegas as it is not illegal to live a plural marriage there. Yes, the first wife is the only legal marriage.

I watch this now and again. I agree I go from, well that support would be nice, to, wtf! I really felt for the kids having to move like they did. I must say, Kody gives me the creeps. I think this is a huge ego boost for him and he makes my skin crawl. I think a couple of the wives are really needy and rely on someone else to make decisions for them.

Interesting that the new plot of land they were looking at is big enough for 4 separate houses rather than one big one - seems like they are all happier living apart.

Robyn is definitely needy and seems she will do just about anything to stay in favour - I can see Janelle and Christine getting pissed off and leaving Merryn and Robyn to it!

I also like Sister Wives.

To me Robyn is a younger version of Merri and a reminder to Koby how it was when he first got married.

I can understand why Janelle and Christine are getting pissed off with Robyn. After all Janelle along with Kody and Merri were/are working and paying the bills while Christine looked after the children, both of whom have either been displaced by Robyn or having to fund another household.

On a seperate note did Robyn ask Merri if she could be a surrigate for Merri and Kody.

Where could I catch this from the start? It sounds fascinating.

(Loved Big Love, didn't know there was a 'real' example on tv)

valiumredhead · 10/03/2012 14:16

Maybe it's on youtube? It's really good and worth watching Grin

I have been to Hong Kong a couple of times whilst my husband was working there and there were very few English TV programmes I could get in the hotel. This was one of them and I was kind of addicted. Not sure that any of them, except for the bloke, was really happy!

clangermum · 15/03/2012 19:08

Anyone know if it's on Netflix? Might sign up to the free trial if it is.

valiumredhead · 16/03/2012 08:34

It seems to have stopped here - e were only 4 episodes in. I am cross!

They were in trouble with the law as it is illegal to purport to be married to more than one person as well as illegal to be actually married to more than one person. So he is breaking the law by saying they are his wives.

valiumredhead · 16/03/2012 08:40

Yes, that's why they moved.

surroundedbyblondes · 18/03/2012 07:23

oooh, thanks Poppy

Tabliope · 18/03/2012 19:54

I'm addicted to the show too and watched it ages ago on www.tv-links.eu so I'm waiting for the next series to begin (hope there is one). Christine definitely made Robyn's life uncomfortable so it'll be interesting to see how that has panned out. Meri and Robyn became very close in the last couple of episodes and Meri said that she was more excited about Robyn's son being born than any of Janelle's and Christine's kids so I can see a split developing between Meri/Robyn and Janelle/Christine. Really hope there is another series soon.
