Just finished watching the whole series - so if you haven't seen all 12 episodes, click away now!
Really enjoyed it. Started Friday night thinking I'd just watch the pilot ep and finished in the early hours of this morning.
A few bleary-eyed ramblings/comments: Damian Lewis was excellent, found him really disturbingly creepy at first, totally believable throughout.
Claire Danes, thought the whole "no one believes her" got a bit much but that can be because I was watching in bulk, so to say. She played Carrie really well but I wonder if the bi-polar story-line was OTT. The whole slightly manic, driven to the point of obsession could also have been explained as the after-effects of her time in Baghdad, esp as she'd feel the need to prove herself.
Loved Saul, esp when he comes to the hospital at the end. God that was sad.
Didn't like Jessica. Maybe not her fault as she spent most of the time cooking, shopping and cleaning, she didn't have much of a character apart from being "mom".
Issa was adorable. Am curious as to how the depiction and cover-up of the drone attack and the admission of torture went down in the US.
One quibble - surely a returning POW (and his family) would have had more support? The military would have informed his wife, for one thing, that would have been dramatic enough. And he would never have been sent back to Iraq. I know he mentions it because he wants to run for Congress but the prospect of being sent to train/lecture to recruits would be most likely not something he'd want.
