Abney and Teal's being bumped for Driver Dan.Aargh!

TOddler has been obsessed with Abney and Teal since it started; 545 is 'Abbeyatee' and we get a bit if a chin wobble if he gets it into his head that it won't be on.

But now the day has come.

Monday heralds the move of Driver Dan to the A and T slot.

My ears are pre-emptively ringing with the sound of 2 year old's heart breaking.

Shit.

Suits me, Abney and Teal is just so drippy. The Boy ignores it.

Personally, I could live without A and T, I quite like show me show me; but it's clicked with ds in a massive way. Apparently bubbles and porridge are just the funniest things on the planet. WHo knew?

To make it worse, Dh is out on Monday nights so I'll be left to juggle the baby and the bewildered toddler asking for A and T.

I like show me show me too, it reminds me of Playschool in my youth. Boy likes Driver Dan so he will be happier. (or I could just switch it off)

And they're stopping Show Me Show Me. My DS will have a fit, and I won't get peace to have my breakfast!

Oh no! DS is obsessed with A&T too, I mean REALLY obsessive to the point where he is on the edge of his seat waiting for it and then demands to see it again immediately after it has finished - repeat to fade. This does not bode well for pre-teatime calmness in our house.

Nooo! Toddler DS loves A&T so much he makes up little 'Neep' related stories to tell me. DD is 5 and she loves it too. I hope they bring it back with a new series. But they can bin Andy's animal adventures or whatever it's called, badly written crap!

Are they stopping them altogether or just showing them at different times?

Oh no, DD (2.7) will go into meltdown if there's no A & T after tea-time! She's obsessed with it, and could watch it all day. Have just managed to get her to understand that there's only one episode, and then it's Waybuloo (we have Virgin, so can get some programmes on iPlayer through the tv, but her A & T demands were getting ridiculous, so we had to wean her back to just the one...) She will NOT be impressed by Driver Dan. Am not looking forward to next week.

Not show me show me too? THat's lunch time and bed-time screwed now. I think there are subliminal messages in Aand T, cos it's not a normal reaction to spend your whole evening asking for it. Ds has turned into a bit of a telly addict (thank you maternity leave), but smsm and aat and the only two guaranteed to stop him in his tracks. Maybe I'll pretend the telly's broken.

I can't believe they have changed things like A&T and Show Me, Show Me, but left fucking Grandpa in my Pocket. Ok, mine weren't that fussed about A&T but please give me a break from Grandpa.

Oh grandpa needs to be retired ASAP!!! I long Goethe day he gets sucked into the Hoover!

Argh, mine both love A&T. And Show Me Show Me. I hate that they're getting rid of stuff like that but Waybuloo and sodding Zingzillas is always on. I've got nothing against Driver Dan but it's pretty boring.

Oh no - dniece loves this! Dd likes it but will cope (plus I have about 100 episodes of mike the knight and octonauts on the sky planner) but dniece will be bereft. Horrid BBC
