Corrie - Since when have Audrey and Gail been so thick?

Fridays episode was funny, yes, Gail and Aud power walking through the countryside. But then it started getting ridiculous, they were lost, could not work out a compass or a phone, then Gail ran off shouting 'a pub,a pub,a pub'
Have their characters suddenly had a transplant?!

Harry Hill had them marching along to Amarillo on TV burp last night :o

I feel that all efforts to sell us Gail as a comedy turn are going to fail miserably - so please stop.
So happy that Slyvia (and her C&A cardigans) didn't go to Palm Springs.
Now that's what I call a comedy turn Grin

I found the episode with the 'bracing walk' cringeworthy, not in the least bit funny. Especially the 'it's a pub it's a pub' bit!

Awful. Actually felt relief when I saw them back on the gin again. SURELY there could have been a less cheesy and convaluted way of introducing bloody Nigel Havers back into it.....

Disclaimer - I KNOW IT'S NOT REAL!!!!

They've had pretty dreadful script-writing on Corrie for a little while now (see my many, many previous posts!). This example was quite mild compared to some.

I hope that Lewis's return won't be another squandered opportunity.

Even Sylvia's lines seem a bit laboured at times, as though the writers are trying too hard to give her 'classic' lines.

Haven't seen it for a few days. Has Napoleon Solo gone back to America now then?

LineRunner · 21/02/2012 11:41

Yes, Napolean Solo has gone back to the land of the free. And the Hustle's finished, too.

Now we have to settle for The Charmer.
