The Killing- a question

DH and I somehow managed to miss this altogether. DH sky plused series one, and I bought series two for him for valentines day. Anyway, we started watching series one last night and realised it was the American one. I have bought the danish series 2. So... does it matter, can we watch american series one and danish series two, or should we find danish series one?

We enjoyed ep1 last night, but it was a bit weird having American accents and references, whilst callling everyone'Lars' and wearing fairisle style knitwear!!

Any advice, or doesnt it matter.

Danish series one is the best television ever made. American series one isn't. I'd sell the US one and buy Danish.

Not watched the American one but Danish one probably some of the best and most realistic acting I've ever seen - you don't even notice it's subtitled it's so absorbing

We watched both. Danish one a million times better ad American one stops half way through story

Us version doesn't 'reveal' at the end of the first series I'm told (typical cliffhanger) then goes off in another direction completley from Danish one.
Season one of Danish was fantastic, but struggling to get into season 2.
A friend tells me the US one has it's own merits...

We just finished watching series 2 of Danish one - it was fab - worth sticking with it
