Patrick Stewart was in my Library!

That new programme tonight with Patrick Stewart - as "Ian Hood, Scientist" (doesn't have the same ring as Bond, James Bond). He was in my library! Didsbury Library in Manchester where I used to work! I could have been the one saying "shhhh!" at the door! And boy would he have got a telling off for ripping a page out of one of the newspapers from the archives. Ooooh how exciting!

Typical though - the only celebs we got in while I was there were Richard and Judy.

My mum once went out for a drink with Patrick Stewart. They were briefly in the same branch of the Labour Party - he cos he was in Stratford doing a play and she cos she lived in Warwick at the time. This was some 35 years ago. If only she could have married him instead of my dad (Even though admittedly then I would not exist?)

He used to be a regular passenger on the Heathrow to Leeds Bradford flights, and everytime he ordered a drink I told him I would "make it so".
The poor, poor man...he must have heard that hundreds of times a day.
