Saturday night's Casualty - what happened at the end? Stupid recording stopped early

Just tried to watch it and it cut off just at the point where the Fireman died and the horrid one waked off

Did I miss anything crucial?

Um well, there was some flirting between the detective woman and Mr Jordan, the little boy was sent home with his mum's boyfriend who turned out to be a good sort, the staff had a bonding session over a big tray of doughnuts and congratulated Big Mac on his heroic act, Dr Lyons was taken to one side by Mr Jordan and given a telling off for misdiagnosis and told he will be working in cubicles. A bouquet arrived 'for Dylan and Sam' from the fireman's wife and they were nice to each other for a change (Sam had the flowers, Dylan had her doughnuts). Think that's it. Quite a lot really!

Do you have Tivo? We have this problem all the time, argh!

No Darvos I've got UPC - I'm in Ireland (which also means I'm not able to watch it on the iplayer.

i used to watch it religiously from a young age, then didn't have a tv for a few years so didn't watch it (obviously!) and them moved in with dh (who hates it - weirdo) it only dawned on me the other week to wonder why they heck I wasn't series linking it! And then it did record fully!!
