Watched Eastenders for the first time in about 5 years. Loads of people I recognised were there!

Only ones I missed were the Mitchell's!

YY I stopped watching it last Feb.
Then I saw 2 minutes where Fatboy and Whitney got together.
I missed the Fatboy/Mercy married-for-visa-wedding
And the Whitney-grooming-to-go-on-the-game storyline (I read the TV Times updates)

I watched on Christmas Day.
And thought- "Where's Jane living?"
"Who's Zahnab with" "And her younger son (not the baby) is married "
"Who's that Derek bloke"
"What's Shirl done with her hair"

Not watched since. Can't get back into it.

I haven't watched it for about 3 or 4 years now. I have watched the recent episodes- Pat dying and Pat's funeral. But seeing Simon Wicks show up at the end of the credits only made me yearn for the good ol' days of Eastenders even more.
It's just not the same anymore.

Lordoftheflies- I've no idea who any of them are! But it know Ricky, jJanine, Bianca, David Wicks , dot, Ian, Mandy, that guy who runs a market stall and has a little tuft of hair at the front and 2 lines every few months ...

Is she Billy Mitchels daughter? (He had a baby with the dark haired woman he knew from way back in the childrens' home he was in)
Only I saw somewhere she was his grandaughter. Doesn't tally age wise.

What happened with Phil& Ben?

This happened to me recently and I hadn't seem Eastenders since the 90s :o

LOTF Billy and his woman (whose name has just gone completely) had a baby boy while in their teens, who they gave up for adoption. Lola is their granddaughter from that son (who is now dead).

I stopped watching about 5 years ago, and of the names mentioned so far on the thread, the only names I recognise are Jane and Billy, plus of course Simon Wicks (as I was a huge EE fan when it first launched).

I've just started to watch again.

What relation to Bianca is Whitney?

And is Patrick related to Denise and her sister?

Was Denise the one that her husband(?) kept in a celler or something?

DH spends each episode thinking every girl with blonde hair is the same person [hm]

Bianca was in a relationship with Whitneys dad and thought Tiffany was his but Tiff is Rickaaaaaays. Whitneys dad died so Bianca kept Whitney with her (stepmum, I don't think Whitney calls her 'mum', but by her name)

There was a DNA test for Denise and Patrick was one of the possibles but I don't think he was (can't be 100%) though.

Yes, the husband (Owen?) kept her locked up in the empty house when everyone thought she'd died.

(My DH was watching Corrie and Kirstie -Tyrones policewoman girlfriend was pg. DH said 'oh it could be one of 3. There's Tyrone, Llyod and the husband, Chris.
