Did anyone else see this tonight and blub like a small child like I did? :(

I wept, DP was even tearing up :(

learningtofly · 05/01/2012 22:18

I think it was because it took me totally by surprise - not the ending you would normally expect. And such a lovely couple :(

I was crying all the way through it and still feel sad now, it was heartbreaking.Such a beautiful restoration and she wasn't able to enjoy it with him, life can be so unfair.

SingingSands · 05/01/2012 22:29

DH missed the end and I had to explain that the bloke hadn't yet stayed in the new house. When DH asked why not I tried to explain that he probably couldn't bring himself to... but then dissolved in tears.

She was the same age as me Sad

The build was just beautiful, it's a heartbreaking story.

xmyboys · 05/01/2012 22:30

I am plus 1 watching it now. Ad break and tears streaming down my face Sad

learningtofly · 05/01/2012 22:30

It was a beautiful restoration, very very well thought out. Gorgeous

I did too. So sad. She was only 33.

One of the best restorations I've seen too.

George Clarke is gorgeous.

LeBOF · 05/01/2012 22:34

I missed it. I did wonder how he was going to fit his "bi-forld doors"he always insists on on a windmill though.

Methe · 05/01/2012 22:38

Awful. Cancer is cruel :(

xmyboys · 05/01/2012 23:00

Just finished watching. Agree that the build was beautiful and such an amazing couple.

strictlycomedancingdiva · 05/01/2012 23:31

Just finished watching here, what a start to the series, was not expecting to need a box of tissues Sad

Beautiful restoration though.

noddyholder · 06/01/2012 17:51

Just watched on catch up so sad.Beautiful project but I wonder if he will be able to live there

dizzyday07 · 06/01/2012 23:37

I too watched it last night and was crying.

I thought the most poinient (sp) part was when he first broke the news to George that she was ill again, and they just hugged each other both with tears streaming down their faces.

So sad that she missed seeing it completed.

lazarusinNazareth · 07/01/2012 18:17

I think he was very brave to continue with it after she died. It must have been so hard for him. Dh and I were very upset - not like us at all. I hope he manages to find some peace and happiness there.

LIZS · 08/01/2012 08:57

So glad to see George back but what a heart rendering episode. The project was defintiley secondary to the back story towards the end. Difficult as to whether he would brign himself to move in but probably would never be able to sell.

mousyMouse · 08/01/2012 09:07

so sad. I love it how george is showing emotion. not only, but especially, in this episode.
and yes, the windmill is fantastic. I wonder if they have included a real generator in there or were the paddles just for decoration?

WinkyWinkola · 08/01/2012 10:17

Heart rendering. Boom boom.

LIZS · 08/01/2012 12:58

oops , pun not intended !

ViviPru · 09/01/2012 14:31

I was in pieces. Glad I'm not the only one.
