Which shows did you enjoy most over Christmas?

I did not see a huge amount, I mean we watched TV but were not exactly glued to the set. However, I think my favourite things have been:

  • Sue Perkins' Mrs Dickens Family Christmas (a real eye opener about out "national treasure")
  • Treasure Island (looking forward to part two tonight)

What have been your highlights?

The Horrible History Prom was fab. Apart from that Downton was my fave.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 02/01/2012 17:36

Downton for me.

Haven't watched an awful lot of drama etc because we've been glued to the darts most of the time, but particular low points were The Royal Bodyguard with David Jason and Top Gear goes to India.

stressheaderic · 02/01/2012 20:40

Oh I LOVED Top Gear in India, thought it was fantastic.
Thought there was a lot of good stuff for kids on (but most of it old, and classc, like Home Alone, ET) but I did miss there being a Gavin and Stacey special and a Royle Family.

ShowOfHands · 02/01/2012 20:43

Ditto Sue Perkins, was aghast. Downton and Lost Christmas also good. Oh and The Borrowers. Still to watch Great Expectations and Sherlock.

PandaG · 02/01/2012 20:45

The Borrowers was favourite family viewing. Sherlock best adult viewing. Have various other things recorded to catch up on over the next few weeks too.

wintera · 05/01/2012 16:58

Loved Lost Christmas, The borrowers, Great expectations, Sherlock, and Charlie Brooker's review of the year thing, I thought that was hilarious this year.

sheeplikessleep · 05/01/2012 17:02

Absolutely Fabulous.
Eastenders.
Outnumbered.
My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding/Christmas.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 05/01/2012 18:50

To be fair, Top Gear might have improved after we switched it off, the one in South America last year was good. We just found the part where they were trying to beat the Indians at distributing all those dinners a bit cringey.

I meant to watch the Borrowers and forgot.

LordOfTheFlies · 05/01/2012 19:53

Lost Christmas- had to watch it twice to make sense of it but it was Sad and Smile all at the same time.

Gumby · 05/01/2012 19:54

The Gruffalo's Child of course

Stilla · 05/01/2012 20:06

Lost Christmas
Great Expectations
Treasure Island
Sherlock

supermama212 · 10/01/2012 18:06

DOWNTON
great expectations

SomedayIllFlyAway · 10/01/2012 19:59

I saw very little TV over christmas, but did catch:

Downton
Mrs Dickens Family Christmas
Lapland
Top Gear
Ab Fab

Out of that lot I only really enjoyed Mrs Dickens Family Christmas and had to watch it again on iPlayer when I sobered up a few days later

kreechergotstuckupthechimney · 11/01/2012 07:35

Downton goes without saying, despite being predictable.
Great expectations.
Charlie Brooker.
The Borrowers - although not as much as the one with Hugh Laurie in it.
I watched the Sue Johnson thing last night. It was fab.
I intend to see Mrs Dickens today while I am doing the ironing.

MrsKitty · 11/01/2012 07:50

Thought Outnumbered was back on form after a disappointing 4th series.

Didn't really get around to watching much else. Great Expectations is recorded, hoping to watch this weekend.
