Im just watching last nights when she says that Emily is scared that her and Rita are seen as lesbians "mother and I got it alot but then, she did wear a bowler hat!!" they must be in hysterics filming it. Sometimes.

Clawdy · 31/12/2011 14:23

But how annoying were Sophie and Sian with all that loud shrieking and sobbing?? Nobody could have felt sorry for either of them!

drummerswife · 31/12/2011 14:32

can't bear sophie or sian

GreenEyesAndNiceHam · 31/12/2011 14:59

I LOVE Mary! I think she's an incredible comic actor

There was a line she said last year (which annoyingly I seem to have completely forgotten now) which had me giggling for days

Mrsrobertduvall · 31/12/2011 15:07

Mary is a gem. The bowler hat line was a classic.

Is that the last of Sian? God I hope so. What a pair of immature kids they were.....
I just knew Sally would wear a fascinator...and what the hell was Rosie wearing?

katkitya · 31/12/2011 15:52

Rosie's hair looks much better

Cannot stand Dev's daughter either!!!!!

FrigidHare · 31/12/2011 17:34

Another classic was 'wouldn't give him the steam of his tea'. You could tell that the word 'piss' was preferred!

Finallygotaroundtoit · 01/01/2012 12:46

I agree about Sophie and Sian - surely the biggest objection was that they are 17 ffs.
17 year olds fall in and out of love weekly - although the screetching was annoying, it is what 17yrs pld do

And another thing - the wedding guests were very well dressed Hmm- for working class folk from an innercity. No Matalan or supermarket specials .

Finallygotaroundtoit · 01/01/2012 12:47

Oh and meant to say I think they are giving Mary the belters they used to give Blanche Xmas Grin

katkitya · 01/01/2012 22:13

I dunno. I've always found the working class lass up north to be very well turned out. Especially Rita's generation.

that wedding was Hmm who screams in the street like that? No shame these young 'uns

If you'd asked me a year or so ago when Mary was stalking Norris round the Peak District and trying to seduce him in her camper van (is she still living in it?) I would have said please get rid of this character, but she has turned into a real Corrie gem, the little gang of Emily, Norris, Rita, Mary and the Croppers are amongst my favourite characters.

I do find I quite often change my mind about characters after a couple of years, I used to hate the Steve/Becky pairing when it was the will they / won't they get married storyline, now I would have loved to see them get back together this Christmas and kick Tracy into touch.
