Alan Carr chatty man

We watched the Christmas show last night & I found it disappointing. I love it when people let themselves go a bit on it (with the drinks!) Sick of David Walliams, not funny & I found the whole Ruth Jones/Jedward thing very uncomfortable. Apparantly they cut all her baiting of Jedward prior to them getting her with the hair gel. There just seemed to be a nasty bitterness to Ruth Jones that I haven't seen before,I really like her normally. Wonder if the new year one will be better? I always smile that Alan Carr was the warm up for Jonathan Ross & now he is a guest on AC show.

I used to like Jedward but have massively gone off them recently with their behaviour on big brother and now chatty man, it was a disgrace the way they wrecked the christmas tree and constantly talked over other guests, maybe Ruth did wind them up but I would have decked them if they put hair gel all over me, they aren't little kids or even teenagers anymore and seriously need to get a grip.

Jedward are the most ridiculous thing I've seen in my life. They were on another programme recently, possibly Jimmy Carr.
They appear to be as thick as mince and have no insight into how silly they come across as on telly.
Stil love Alan Carr and Ruth though. I'm a bit meh about DW.

Watched about the first five mins of NY show.

Wow, was dull and unfunny.

Crud guests who all appeared very uncomfortable.

AC was doing his valiant best to keep the mood light and effervescent but failing miserably.

Bad script and direction I think.

And definitely not amusing to have too much audience participation.

The average audience member is not witty or attractive enough to warrant so much attention imo Grin

It's crap but I'm still watching for some reason.

I love Alan and Gok normally but this is cringey. What's Melanie Sykes doing on there, when was she last on telly?

shrinkingnora · 31/12/2011 22:00

JLS electrocuting each other was hilarious.

jenk1 · 31/12/2011 22:29

i love his sketches and gok wan was not amussed!!! me and DD was laughing so much at his portrayal of cher lloyd!

RaPaPaPumPumBootyMum · 31/12/2011 23:07

Yeah, I was wondering Melanie Who???

Last time she was on telly was as the bit of crumpet co-hosting with the elderly Des Whats-his-name.

WhatsWrongWithYule · 31/12/2011 23:16

She used to co-host a Radio2 show with him, on at Saturday teatimes. Still might, but I haven't heard it for ages (only listened when I happened to be in the car, honest).

leftmymistletoeatthedoor · 31/12/2011 23:17

I'm watching it 'cause I quite like JLS and I love Olly Murs.

MissMogwi · 31/12/2011 23:18

She certainly seems to be pissed enjoying herself though! Grin

Oh I do like Marvin from JLS.

Cybbo · 31/12/2011 23:18

I gave up with it, it was cringe making

yesbutnobut · 01/01/2012 11:37

Yes Mel and Alan do a (hilarious) radio show on Saturdays - good to listen to if you're driving at that time which we often are
