Think it was one of the worst eastenders tonight-Ben sees smoke but tries to stumble his way through a crowded room stopping the music and finally trying to reason with people there's a fire -you would just shout get out get out fire fire maybe? Massood gets caught in a fire after being unconcious do people maybe help him no bizarrely everyone just leaves him in the house but all walk outside -his family go to the pub instead of checking he is okay etc and he just wanders around the smokey house drinking a glass of water.
Yusef is on the run from the police could do anything at anytime has recently kidnapped kamil -yet zainab just hands kamil over to Alfie who wanders off to the vic with him without mentioning anything about yusef to him.
Massood and Denise can't get out a burning building yet yusef can just run in and phil just puts a dressing gown on his head and it's no probs to just walk out!
Zainab tricks yusef into running in and thinking afia is inside then tamwar shouts afia afia really loudly whilst running all through the square heading to the house -does zainab run after him ? Shout "no stop she's not in there" no she just let's her son run in and stops to scream about 5 miles back from the house !

Come on ! I love eastenders normally especially the Christmas ones -was really looking forwards to this and it was really poor-peoples actions just didn't make sense!

Afia can't leave Tamwar because her father exploded his coat! He should definitely leave her for being a liar though and come and find me so I can love him better

It was very crap, they really do need to think of something new because fire/car accident has been done far too many times. I watched it with ds (age 12), he laughed as he knew what was coming from the images of the alcohol and the fireworks before the fire, even he said it was stupid. Not as stupid as the baby swap fiasco from last year though.

I love Masood and Tam. Magenta makes some very good points but it was a great episode. I found myself gasping for air!

I wonder if the beeb has received any complaints regarding the fire and the get out stay out rule which was not observed in the programme.

I was also rather intrigued by the random 'holding people back' policy being displayed by (a) onlookers, and (b) the fireman.

Obviously you were allowed to run back in if you were screamy enough.

I doubt it Frigid - it's a soap, not a documentary and it highlighted why the 'get out- stay out' rule is there!
