I wish I could just edit scenes out with certain people in, and anything with them in I would say ''no please no get them off my screen''

Bossybritches22 · 03/12/2011 07:40

Interesting....why??! Grin

franke · 03/12/2011 07:45

I was an avid CS fan until recently. These two miseries and the ridiculous John Stape storyline caused me to switch off. Saw a bit last night, not tempted to start watching again.

nikon1968 · 03/12/2011 08:18

Because they are so whiny and full of angst [spelt wrong I think]

Two of the biggest drips on there.

I was a fan as well franke. After watching Anthony Cotton on I'm a Celebrity for the past two weeks I don't like him one little bit. So another reason not to watch!

Sian and Sophie and the other girl don't seem real to me and neither did whatshisface from Red Dwarf crying last night. The actors seem to be playing parts that they can't get into.

GwendolineMaryLacedwithBrandy · 03/12/2011 08:25

I'd have to edit out Gail's elderly son and Cindy Beale's sneery daughter. What a horrible pair. And yes to the whiny angsty teenagers. And that Faye. Why do I watch it again? Xmas Confused

nikon1968 · 03/12/2011 08:28

I am waiting for OWEN to flip again..........................a nasty man waiting for his moment [and it could be David who gets it me thinks]

OP posts:
daenerysstormborn · 03/12/2011 08:33

the owen/shed/faye story was grating on me last night. if he wants to get her onside, why dismantle her shed (it looked in better condition than our shed when he was chucking it on the lorry Wink), why not just repair it or replace it?

nikon1968 · 03/12/2011 08:43

mmmmmm maybe he does not want her onside, he has a cunning plan I feel.

Grin at Gail's "elderly" son - he's supposed to be 30 but woefully miscast!

I want the taxi firm owner (what's his name???) to get a grip now. He played heartbroken really well but it's been a couple of weeks now and it is soapland so time to get over it.

NotaTeacherBasher · 03/12/2011 11:55

Lloyd - that's his name!

Bossybritches22 · 03/12/2011 11:57

Agreed, the teens/kids are whiney but then Corrie kids always seem to be!!

LineRunnerCranberrySauce · 03/12/2011 19:04

No Corrie kid has ever been able to act.

I find the whole thing just fucking tedious now, except for the ever-decreasing scenes with Rita, Emily, Norris and Mary in them.

Even Audrey was tainted for ever by that storyline with the tranny who was in Butterflies.

Beccy, Roy and Hayley are good - but always seem to be acting opposite various planks of wood.

thenightsky · 03/12/2011 20:08

we need more Mary

Bossybritches22 · 03/12/2011 23:07

Oh of course the exception to the whiney kids rule is Chesney, I think he's a sweetie & his last scenes with Schmichael were heart-breaking!!

LineRunnerCrouchingReindeer · 04/12/2011 14:32

Bossy, I fear we will have to agree to disagree. Chesney's 'acting' with that dog moved me less than seeing that cockroach stuck up Fatima's nose.

LordOfTheFlies · 04/12/2011 17:07

I haven't seen Corrie for a while but caught some last week.

What's with the Gail turnaround? She's all excited about Max moving in!

First David gets married and just assumes his new Mrs is going to live at Gails, then her son! (Entitled brat or what- David not Max)

Bossybritches22 · 04/12/2011 20:02

Line fair enough!

We had our dog PTS last year in exactly the same circumstances so I guess the tears clouded my vision of the acting!

I want to know how elastic are those house walls in the Street, they all appear to have about 6 bedrooms!!!

katkitya · 04/12/2011 21:37

Ive even gone off Leanne lately and Im wondering if Peter is going to get with her who owns the factory.

Isnt it awful how we cant remember their names? Smile

Bossybritches22 · 05/12/2011 10:16

Carla Katkit Xmas Grin

I wish they could all just settle & be a bit less randy & immoral dysfunctional for a while, but then that's Soapland for you!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/12/2011 15:54

I read that Becki leaves with a new fella and Peter and Carla do get it together (yay!)

I love Steve and his sense of humour he really makes me laugh.

Can't stand nick he's SO cringy and has a very odd relationship with his mum and gran.

NettoHoHoHoSuperstar · 05/12/2011 15:56

They're going to be doing a 'slap', type storyline, with that annoying adopted kid, the gruff guy and his fishpond.

KateMiddIeton · 05/12/2011 16:01

I would like to see the obviously bright characters having careers. Tina was really, really bright and sharp when she joined and she works in the pub. Sophie supposedly got fantastic GCSEs but she works in the shop. Amber went to university but then she dropped out and came back with a personality transplant.

I want to see them go to college and university, or get jobs in industries where their brightness can be recognised and they can progress.

It's so depressing watching their potential stall.

Of failing that more Mary, Norris, Emily and Rita please Grin

katkitya · 05/12/2011 17:50

It never fails to get on my tits when I see the youngsters not having careers. And, that goes for all soaps. Chesney had such potential as well. Im hoping Sian is going to do well at college and go on to uni, leaving whiney Sophie behind.

I dont think anyones been to a graduation since Ken Barlows.

whatkungfuthat · 06/12/2011 09:39

I can't stand Leanne now either, I wish this Carla and Peter stuff would get a move on. That Steve/Becky/Tracey storyline was so pathetic.

Why didn't Jason and Rosie move into his flat as it was empty for ages, or rent it to thingy and Marcus? Sally has no idea what is coming does she?

katkitya · 06/12/2011 09:56

Why, what is coming???
