I am a Liverpudlian living in the Midlands. I am totally exasperated by the stereotypical view of Liverpudlians and am not sure if I should watch this - has anyone seen it and if so what do you think?

I have seen Amanda on a C4 about glamour models.

I'm not a scouse but have always thought they are great, the tv programme however, was AWFUL. Avoid avoid avoid.

I went to uni in Liverpool and lived there for 10 years. I loved my time there. To me, it's better than the stereotype of it being a city full of scallies and robbers. It seems quite similar to Towie but the accents are so broad, a lot of my workmates had trouble understanding it! It's trash TV though at the bottom end of the bin.

I have a strong accent despite living in the Midlands for more than a decade. I don't know anyone that talks like that.

I think it is strange that Liverpudlians seem to be embracing the show. Lots of FB posts with scouse brows for instance Confused.

I know it will be awful. Is forewarned, forearmed?

Well, I would rather have the scouse brow than Geordie Shore which is what represents us in the NE!!

While it may be at the bottom of the league for Bafta awards it certainly shows how Liverpool has some of the best looking girls in the country (until they open their mouths) but the programme will bring some well deserved business to the City and maybe it will attract more visitors as Towie did to Essex, the only person who let Liverpool down was the girl who was the reporter for local rag her language would put anyone off it was just plain gutter speak, every other word FFF.

Eggrules · 03/12/2011 17:12

Liverpool is a great city to visit. I came with mates from around the country for four nights earlier in the year. It was one of the best girl's breaks EVER (even though we have blokes in the group too).

I hope it does encourage tourism. I fear it will re-enforce the negative views people have. Still haven't watched it.

The level of 'acting' did make TOWIE look oscar standard Grin. I'm sure I'll continue to watch though.
