Eastenders - Yusif and Zainab

I don't watch regularly, but enough to get the general gist. But what I have missed is whether Yusuf is genuinely in love with Zainab or is it all some evil plot. If so, why?

I thought it was an evil plot for shaming him and his family by having an affair with masood. Thats why he set her on fire and how mas was there to rescue her.

Yes i think it is a massive plot, he also wants to control her and manipulate her so she becomes dependent on him, as well as make her feel as she is going crazy. But i think he does love her, and he hasn't forgiven her for cheating on him and the fact that she doesn't love him back.

I think the storyline does not fit her character though. When she was with Maz she was the bossy, dominate, controlling partner. Now we are expected to think she is just some weak woman.
