How much longer is Merlin going to save Arthur and Arthur not realise that Merlin can do magic.
Or any one else relaise he can do magic.
How much longer can they drag out Morgana and her smirking and scowling.
and how many more times can Arthur gratuitously take his shirt off Wink

I'm actually starting to get a bit bored by it all now

It is so gay, Merlin. I bloody love it. The sub-texts are so madly not sub.

motherinferior · 03/12/2011 21:41

Especially when Merlin (with shirt off) is saying to Arthur (also, obviously, with shirt off) 'Arthur' (pause) 'there's something I should tell you'...meaningful pause...

Haven't seen anything like it since the yearning Sam/Frodo looks in LOTR.

It is wonderful, predictable, hokum, but I do love it, and
the fact my ds provides an excuse for watching it. Plus, although it is definitely wrong, my feelings for Merlin are not in anyway maternal. Could I put in a request that any scene featuring dishevelled knights also features a dishevelled man servant.

ILoveShinyThings · 04/12/2011 00:43

We sit and watch it as a family although we all have our different reasons for watching it! Xmas Grin

We love it in our house, well, me and dd. She loves the interplay between Merlin and Arthur and roars with laughter. I have a sneaking suspicion though, that she rather fancies one or the other of them but as she's 12 she won't admit to it.

She did say today that it is getting scarier every episode. I think it's a vit of a shame it's creeping into adult times - 8pm instead of 6ish - but they've got to have something to put up against X Factor I suppose.

I am not quite as fed up with Morgana as I am with Riversong in Dr Who, so am quite happy to continue with this, rather than Dr Who' even though I like this Doctor more than I like Merlin or Arthur; I'd just rather not see Riversong ever again.

Smophette, I'll join you in wusses' corner, it was making me jump every time. Came to the conclusion it wasn't the dripping wet spirit boy that scared me, it was the loud crash in the music.

Plenty of good knights of the round table action though, especially Sir Percival (definitely the hottest and until now, woefully underused) Wink

LordOfTheFlies · 04/12/2011 22:59

DS and DH watch it. Yesterdays was good (he said) but last week he fell asleep half way through.

It makes me quote Monty Python lines- much to DHs disgust Xmas Wink

Smophette · 05/12/2011 11:59

wuss corner- i like that. What with the whole well thing it just kept reminding me of the kid from the ring. Uhhh. I actually had my face behind a cushion :S.

miSaltireandwine · 05/12/2011 20:39

Well at least there was no shots of the best actress in television - Morgana -this week.
And the BAFTA for most scowls in one episode goes to Morgana
and the bAFTA for msot smirks in one episode goes to ..well you get the picture

On a different note, i rather like Sir Leon need him to get his shirt off

GettinTrimmer · 06/12/2011 20:58

Love your festive nickname miSaltire Xmas Smile

Enjoyed Saturday's episode a lot more, didn't want 6 yo dd who sneaked down to look for her bear to see it though, very scary.

Looks like Gwen might save the day next week, if the trailer is anything to go by.

ExpectoPatronum · 07/12/2011 11:41

Just thank heavens Gwen is finally getting to wear something other than that pale blue pinafore.
