One episode watched - I am hooked! Anyone else watching?

Not giving any spoilers away or anything, but it gets worse. I'm in the U. S., and we're on episode 8, and it just doesn't get any better. (IMHO) I guess one of the episodes was deemed so bad, they didn't even bother airing it, even though it left major plot holes in the story line, and I've been slogging through it hoping it would get better, but the last episode required far too much suspension of belief in so many ways, that I was distracted by all the improbabilities. I'm done watching it.

Oh what a shame - I liked the costumes and scenery and hoped Christina Ricci's character was going to get a chance to develop (can't see any real reason for her to want to be a stewardess right now, let alone the purser?). But the first two eps have been very fluffy (mixed with bizarre spy storyline); I hoped it would settle in.

That is a shame, it has the potential to be such a good show! Oh well, I shall persevere with the rest of the series ..there's nothing else to watch anyway!

Well, like I said, IMHO.

I know one of the biggest complaints for me (and from what I've been reading in articles devoted to the show) is Christina Ricci's character. As the episodes go on, I feel more WTF? about her wanting to be there, and they even had an episode with her back story that only muddled her presence even more.

On a positive note, Goran Visnjic shows up for eye candy. The bad news is, he only had a 4 episode story line, and one of those episodes was the one they aren't going to air.

oh really, why aren't they going to air it? like i said, i'm up to ep6 and have noticed a complete dearth of plot and character growth... have i also skipped an episode? and wtfuckingfuck is the spy plotline about?

i tend to stick it on the computer when i am cooking/cleaning, as that's the level of concentration it requires. certainly not a sitting-down-and-watching show.

(did think christina r totally pulled off being sixteen or whatever in the backstory ep, though. oh to have that skill...)

Aitch--from what I read in a link someone posted in an online forum (so take the reliability on that with a grain of salt) the powers that be found the episode to move far too slowly, and the Ginny character was not well liked by the viewing audience, so they scrapped it.

The week it was going to air was in the November, which is an important time for network ratings. The show had been loosing viewers steadily since it started, so they didn't want to air such a weak episode during a week so important to TV ratings. And they won't be able to air it later, because GV's character being in that episode won't work for continuity reasons.

It's on again tonight which I wasn't expecting. Tought the next episodes would be weds again.

Can't watch it as I want to watch the killing.

I really enjoyed it - silly and fluffy and glamorous. Not much (plausible) seems to happen but that's fine.

oh, haha that's funny i thought that character was spicy and campy, rather like i had hoped the show would be...

Oh im loving this, i love the glamour and their uniforms, how lovely they all look. It doesnt have a great plot but its easy and fun to watch and i dont have to concentrate (like i do with Fringe)

I'm afraid the series will be coming to an end. There are 4 or 5 more to be shown here in the U. S. that are already filmed, and then no more, ladies.

That's a shame, I was enjoying it in a lightweight sort of way. Mosschops that's exactly it, you can MN on the laptop at the same time without losing track of the plot!
