Johnny gave dennis and sharon til midnight to leave. They stopped just before they left and Phil talked Dennis into battering Johnny because he had threatened Sharon, who is pregnant. After Dennis battered him he threw him his mobile and said if you can reach it you live - he obviously reached it and made a call to someone who stabbed dennis in the middle of the square as everyone was watching the fireworks.
