Is Downton Abbey good?

I haven't seen Downton Abbey but all the adverts make it look really good. So I was going to ask DP to get me it on DVD so I can watch it as I am so annyoed for not watching it from the start.

Is it worth buying? Is it as good as ITV make it out to be?

First series very good, second series not quite so good, but still worth a watch...

I agree with Portland. I loved the first series, thought it was a blinder. Second series was a huge let down for me I'm afraid. Give it a go and see what you think.

I agree with wintera, second series isn't a patch on the first.
