Just listened to dome stupid woman claim that there are no forced abortions in China Hmm AND the (no doubt equally thick) audience applauded her!

I watch it occasionally and can only last a few minutes. Some of the presenters are so annoying!

Ryoko · 02/11/2011 16:52

That shit still on?

I think they only film it so Dignitas can have something to show the undecided to help them make up their minds.

madmomma · 02/11/2011 23:36

Grin at Ryoko

kerstina · 03/11/2011 09:46

Stopped watching it ages ago they should not be allowed to discuss serious stufff they are totally ignorant about. I find them all incredibly self righteous. It was bad enough having Carol McGiffens extremely right wing views inflicted on the nation without adding another one in the form of Carol Vordemam. Lost any respect for her when heard her spouting on question time.

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/11/2011 10:55

It should have been axed years ago.
When Kaye Adams was on there were some intelligent conversations, but I never watch it now.

adamschic · 03/11/2011 10:58

I can just about abide them discussing frivolities but when they put their serious faces/voices on and discuss something important I carn't watch.

Ryoko · 03/11/2011 12:19

Intelligent conversations and Loose Woman, are not words that should ever be linked in anyway.

Is it not a show made for men?, i.e put the thickest, mos boring, humourless woman they can find on a panel and have them talk absolute shit, just so the male population can point and laugh and say thats what woman are like.

it's an insult, as is most other day time TV, I just leave the TV on Dave or Quest in the mornings/afternoons (if DS isn't watching Cbeebies).

Meh maybe I'm just the odd one out, I like Top Gear, Scrapheap challenge and those industrial revolution programs on Quest.

chipstick10 · 03/11/2011 15:18

couldnt stand Kay Adams and her left wing views. Hidious woman.

Dillydaydreaming · 03/11/2011 16:13

Tbh I think it was the comment about no forced abortions in China which got me. I never watch the crappy programme but was round a friend's house so had to endure it.
They were also discussing whether there should be "a limit" on the number of children as in China. They came across thick as a McDonald's shake. Hmm

carernotasaint · 03/11/2011 17:08

I dont watch this bollocks anymore either. One day a few years back Jane Mcdonald said on there that no one starves to death in this country. in that same week (it might have been the same day i cant remember) on the front page of one of the papers was a story about an old lady who had starved to death cos of a cock up with her money.
Isnt it funny how they never retract these statements when they are proved wrong!
When the show first started with Kaye Adams on it they covered serious issues. Now all they care about is celebrity and so they dont research the serious issues properly when they do arise which is why they get their facts wrong!

KatieMiddIeton · 03/11/2011 17:11

Turn. It. Off.

shineynewthings · 03/11/2011 19:12

Loose Women should not be on TV. They set back the argument for female equality with their stupid vacuous conversations about frivolous, meaningless celebrity lifestyles. I actually thought it was off tele, but was ill and flicking through the TV for something entertaining in vain, saw (allegedly clever) Carol Vordaman only to find they were discussing Xfactor, and I just thought for gods sake is this all they have to speak about?

ITV's morning programmes are awful and very largely celebrity news driven. It starts with daybreak, carries on with Lorraine, picks up pace with This Morning - when they through a dash of Soapville in as well - and it is pure chav TV it is mind numbing and I think the producers forget that these characters from soaps ARE NOT REAL and knowing what Jordan Did Next will not enhance my life.

They should scrap them all

As it is I prefer to watch the antiques programmes. That's how sad it is.

Rant over.

moaninlisa · 03/11/2011 19:33

All absolute chav tv.
Used to watch old richard and judy in my student days.... they were great.

But this tripe... it's all for the great unwashed

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/11/2011 19:40

'The great unwashed' Confused?
And who might they be?

southeastastra · 03/11/2011 19:43

blardy hell just don't watch it then!

john landis was on it the other day

Ryoko · 04/11/2011 10:30

It's made for people who buy those crappy magazines, someone is buying those crappy magazines.

I used to buy Heat magazine when it first started, it was interesting full of reviews and things, then within 2 years it turned into Posh Spice weekly and I stopped buying it.

carernotasaint · 04/11/2011 22:25

Ryoko i used to buy Grazia when it first started but the quality has gone down and its now gossipy like the other weeklies.
Even old weekly staples like Woman,Bella and Womans Own which my older female rellies used to buy have celebritied up.
I have noticed the covers of Womans Own and Woman when ive been in our Tesco. Its usually bloody X Factor on the cover or .....yep youve guessed it,one or more of the Loose Women. Ugh.

southeastastra · 04/11/2011 22:27

maybe you are just now outgrowing soft media and now have to get the Times daily
