Will Fiz get out with time served for the theft?

Or will the murder conviction stand? Will they take the deathbed confession of murderer as proof she had nothing to do with it?

I was confused about the conviction for murdering Colin Fishwick as Rita had said she saw Charlotte with John, not Fiz but nothing much was made of it. And did I miss something or did they leave the bit out about her giving birth when she was being cross-examined over Charlotte's murder?

She was found guilty before his confession and murder has a mandatory sentence. So she will have to stay in prison, and mount an appeal based on new evidence that emerged only the original trial.

As Stape cannot be tried, the police will need to investigate to ascertain if his confession meets all known facts and whether any points can be verified. Once that is concluded, it can move quite fast (amazingly fast, in a soap, I should think).

Thanks, so if she leaves it can either be because she had gone down for life OR has moved to a new area to escape the stigma

I'm sure she'll get out. The police seem minded to believe John's account as the parts they have checked so far.

I expect the soapy version will be that, at a time convenient to the wider story lines, her appeal date will come up; the prosecution will offer no evidence against her; and she will be released.
