I have missed a lot of the run up to the live shows. Appart from being a bit odd (aren't we all, in our own ways) what has she done to deserve the reaction she has been getting?

I think it's the grasping anything-for-fame attitude. She is already a very successful showbiz professional, and makes a good living from it, yet is making out this is her "last chance". All the minor tv appearances (To Buy Or Not To Buy? Pur-lease) just make her look cynical. She doesn't fit the 'talented ordinary person' template that viewers love, and comes scores as a bit ruthless. That, with all the unflattering stories about her, make her a bit unappealing. Plus the fact she has shaved around ten years off her age.

She is more than a bot odd, she comes across as grasping, ruthless and unlikeable.

I think her passing similarity to Bonkers Katie Weasel does her no favours either- but I suspect the producers included her for this very reason: they have a ready-made panto villain who will keep viewers talking.

I still dont get it. Aren't all the contestants fame hungry? You wouldn't put yourself through that if fame wasnt your ultimate aim. She has a good voice why shouldnt she use it?

The only other thing I heard about her is that she 'romped' with Frankie. Seriously, in this day and age why is that a bad thing on her but ok for him?

There's fame-hungry, and there's sell-yer-granny. And I not think Frankie is emerging as the teen totty the producers wanted. He didn't pick up the girly votes he was expected to last night, and is about as appealing to most people as a dose of the clap.

I think most people who have been trying to get into the industry for a few years would be a bit 'sell me granny' if they were honest. She is clearly incapable of hiding those tendancies but is it really that boo worthy?

Only the kids come across as really innocent and that is worrying as they will get eaten alive and taken advantage of if that really is the case.

I don't know what they've done to her to make her look so odd, I think it's the eye brows or something. she did look much better on the sunday night show though. I can't find her someone to dislike because she really hasn't offended me and she has a fantastic voice. I think they need to sort out her image and stop making her look like a pantomine dame for a start.

Ah its probably just me. I felt the same way about Katie Waissel too. If the music industry was all about sweet and innocent rather than driven (some would say bitches) we would be without Madonna, Lady GaGa, Katie Perry, Pink, Xtina........ Pretty much any really sucessful female artist.

She has a great voice and her performances are fabulous. However, she has something very desperate about her, and she's clearly trying to milk a few sob stories in the press to get attention (she was ill, she is bullied blablabla). If she stopped acting so fragile, tune down the attention seeking in the press and would just get on with it, she could actually win this. She's very good, she doesn't need the drama.

I think it's all the light up leotard, randomly jumping in swimming pools bit - it makes you go, Hmm how bad is your singing that you're trying to make me remember you by doing stuff like that?

She's actually not a bad singer, but that sort of carry on is just annoying.

You know, I don't actually mind kitty. On Saturday nights bore fest she was really the only interesting one.

I think that she is the victim of very selective editing. Yes, she is slightly bonkers but she probably has many normal moments that don't make it onto the show.

No way is she 26 though.

She is the formulaic one-we-hate isn't she? Katie Weasel, that sister from the panto act a couple of years ago.

You can kind of predict the finalists from the go-get. 2 crap bands, one OKish one that isn't ever going to be TakeThat but might make a few decent records, 1 very talented black girl who invariably will be gobby and won't win, 2 we-are-poor/I was bullied/my parents are dead/I work in Lidl/I'm doing this for me mam, 1 airy fairy singing Fields of Gold and pretending to be shy, the Fat Girl, the what-is-Louis-doing act.....

Because she's brilliant. Good singer - looks like she argued with a snow shovel and lost. OK performer - opens her mouth and ruins it all with her 'personality'. Tis TV Gold. I luff her, in my fashion.

Kitty/Katie waisel, same thing isn't it. Obviously a "preferred candidate" for the producers as she is TV dynamite.

Her wigs need addressing though and her eyebrows.

Thingy Cocozza...uuurgh, he cannot sing and he looks like a furbie. Sort iof a more sexed up Eough Quigg- remember him?

Agree with tabulahrasa - it's light up leotard and the swimming pool jumping type exploits. It all screams of desperation and nobody likes a try hard. I don't think the judges are helping either with their constant comments about how electric her performances are and how they can't take their eyes off her.

As for Frankie. Urgh...

Yes it is all being fed by the producers....I feel like this is my last year for the x-factor, it is getting more and more contrived. When will they drop Louis, he is such a joke- not in a good way. I can't believe that any of the judges actually like Kitty or her performances, so when they make positive comments it is so inauthentic.

I just love Gary Barlow, me and my DH. We both do. It's sad really.

I think from the moment she sat down on the edge of the stage in her audition she made herself too comfortable, she was too arrogant, and has come across as try hard ever since. The trouble is she tries to disguise that by that stupid quivering face she pulls when the judges are talking to her, it's is so fake it insults me!

I actually have to say, she is my favourite performer, she sings really well, has amazing stage presence, fantastically flamboyant, but she wont win because as soon as she has sung that last note, I revert to wanting to punch her in the face repeatedly! :o

Frankie cannot sing, he has been consistently shite the last two weeks and those trousers he had on on sunday will not have helped his riddled crotch! he is gross.

That's my two penneth...

Oh, I come over all unnecessary just looking at Gary Barlow. (and I used to think he was William Hague's lovechild)

Got a bit of a soft spot for Charlie from The Risk as well. Blush
