Anyone else watching? My mum told me to as she'd seen it and loved it. Tbh I didn't know any of the early history of JL? Poor lad.

I missed the beginning -did it exo´plain why he wasn´t with his mum?

But then it seemed to be a bit mum=fun Mimi=no fun, so I gave up as presumably she was doing her best for him.

yh it did about half way through.
his mum and dad split and they gave him the choice who to live with - when he was about 5.
he chose his dad but as he had already been pushed between the both of them mimi decided to 'kidnap' him.

I'd forgotten about his mum Sad Enjoyed movie though did have a little weep at the end especially when he said Mimi was both parent and guardian.

I watched the film a while ago and enjoyed it.
I have just watched it with DS1.
I did read that Sam Taylor Wood had wanted to make Mimi even more sterner but toned it down after Paul Mc. said that Mimi was 'mock - strict'

you do know that the guy that played JL is STW's real life partner.
