Calling all cbeebies experts! I have just had a new baby and my resolve to limit my 2-year old's tv viewing has gone out the window. We have only ever watched the bedtime hour before. Any advice on good programs suitable for a 2 and a half year old? Thanks!!

It changes weekly but mr bloom ,something special , baby jake, octonauts, show me show me, tikkabilla, driver dans story train have all had phases of being popular. Do you have a recorder as I tend to record and replay stuff? And IMHO peppa pig prob still the all time favourite

Gigondas · 30/09/2011 16:46

Oh and big city park too

MangoMonster · 30/09/2011 16:56

Raa raa the noisy lion, something special, Charlie and Lola.

MangoMonster · 30/09/2011 16:56

And show me show me.

Itsjustafleshwound · 30/09/2011 16:59

My son loves 'Shaun the Sheep'

MamaMia100 · 30/09/2011 17:57

Excellent! Thanks everyone. Just tried ra ra the noisy lion and she loved it :-). We will work our way through the other suggestions!

Waybaloo seems popular too.

MamaMia100 · 30/09/2011 18:01

Ps we watch stuff on 'catch up on demand'', which doesn't seem to have peppa pig or big city farm unfortunately :-(

Show Me Show Me is fantastic. DD loves Mr Bloom and Something Special too.

Bellie · 30/09/2011 18:10

Show me Show me, Mr Bloom, Big and Small

GentleOtter · 30/09/2011 18:11

Tinga Tales are lovely.

meala · 30/09/2011 18:21

Octonauts are the firm favourite here.

Avoid Gigglebiz, Mighty Mites and Rasta Mouse .

Kingsroadie · 30/09/2011 18:25

My nearly two year old is totally obsessed with Something Special - I mean REALLY obsessed!

ChablisLover · 30/09/2011 19:31

Night garden, waybaloo. Ds loved the singing interludes.. You the days of the week ones etc. Try something special, most kids adore it and kerwhizz.

Sirzy · 04/10/2011 20:00

DS is nearly 2 and loves Something Special (he would watch it all day if he was allowed) and has picked up quite a few signs from it.

Ra ra is popular to, as is Waybuloo, Mr Bloom and Nina and the Neurons!

IvyAndGold · 04/10/2011 20:03

At the minute 17mo DD is loving Waybuloo, In The Night Garden, and Baby Jake (which I hate!)

She is more of a Milkshake fan, on channel 5 in the mornings, to be honest. She's a complete Peppa Pig groupie, and loves Ben and Holly, Fifi and Mio and Mao I think it's called...

KenDoddsDadsDog · 04/10/2011 20:05

DD loves Timmy Time

FrillyMilly · 04/10/2011 20:11

Dd is nearly 3 and loves Something Special, she knows quite a few signs from it. She also likes I Can Cook although not sure if that's on at the moment and Show Me Show Me is another. I don't allow waybaloo on cos the squeaky voices drive me insane. We've started to build up quite a DVD collection now too. She loves Disney films, Dora, Peppa pig and Ben and holly.

chickensaresafehere · 06/10/2011 13:54

My dd2 giggles her way through every episode of Timmy Time, but adores Something Special(as she uses makaton herself)& Gigglebiz.
Justin can do no wrong in this house!!!

havinhoops1974 · 06/10/2011 14:55

Justing Fletcher is fantastic

Something Special, Gigglebiz and ahow me show me Zingzilla's

RogerMelly · 06/10/2011 14:56

mine like waybulloo, charlie and lola, baby jake, gigglebiz and something special

Reggieinkl · 06/10/2011 15:37

Pretty much any of the Cbeebies stuff is good in my book. If you're going the DVD route my 2 year old loves Dora and since my son was born in July she has garnered a fairly impressive spanish vocabularly! Like you my resolve on the telly front went by the way side when my baby arrived!

ecuse · 06/10/2011 19:30

Love Rastamouse, loathe Waybuloo. Silly soppy plinky plonky rubbish. My LO is only 5 months but she seems to agree.
