anyone watching dispatches on the Gypsy eviction??

very one sided view but am :( that they leave the country side in such a mess and that the kids get a taxi sent to take them to school every day

We have a family at school with seven children all in special measures because of various learning and behavioural problems. They have their breakfast delivered to them every day - they were recently moved out of their house to have it redecorated because it was cheaper than taking the kids into care and they were living in squalor. They have a social services helper come to them at tea time every day to help with the tea and bed routine. Neither of the parents work, they have just had their 7th baby and they are only 30 years old, they both smoke all the time, she blatantly when she was pregnant. Their poor kids are filthy and scruffy, classically they do have an incredibly expensive pram etc etc etc. these people are not travellers, they are just irresponsible assholes. Some gypsies and travellers are irresponsible assholes but in my experience the overwhelming majority are not.

I live near a site which the owners who are travellers won the right to stay on their land - they are good people, they still choose to live in mobile homes and there is room for all of us.

oh yes pinky that sounds awful, and huge amounts of costs to LA.
Also think its terrible the LA havent put in the sites they are meant to. We have a site here, and my uncle worked for council and they built all new toilets and showers ect, but the next day they went back the next day to finish the last bits and every piece of copper had been stolen!! the taps and toilet handles gone
We dont have much trouble here from travellers at all tbh. Just wish they would clean up after themselves :(
