That is exactly what dh said! Have to say a huge disappointment compared to Waking The Dead. Don't think I'll bother next week.

thenightsky · 13/09/2011 22:49

Oh, it wasn't too bad. Fairly predictable though.

scurryfunge · 13/09/2011 22:50

What a load of old rubbish. It annoyed the hell out of me.

IndridCold · 14/09/2011 09:19

It was total rubbish, and in fact was just BORING. DH and I talked through most of it.

skorpion · 14/09/2011 11:26

Glad it's not just us! Pile of rubbish. Shame, as I really liked her character in Waking the Dead...

warmandwooly · 14/09/2011 11:31

I switched off and watched the bake off prog that was on whilst I watched Holby. Didn't appeal at all after about 15 mins.

slartybartfast · 14/09/2011 11:37

That is an hour of my life i will never get back.

i said the very same thing.

what a load of crap

missmogwi · 14/09/2011 11:40

It was utter crap, very disappointed as liked her in Waking The Dead. Her voice over bits were making me cringe!

sistersootica · 14/09/2011 11:41

it was conkers Angry. Very disappointed.

TobyLeWolef · 14/09/2011 11:43

Yep, we started to watch it. About 1/4 of an hour through, when we'd both made a few frowny faces, I said "is it just me or is this really dull?"

The relief on my DP's face was immense. We watched David Blaine be a smarmy creep-ball on E4 instead.

You see, I didn't even notice the voice over bits, that's how engaged I was!
Maybe I had had too much Wine.

Smellslikecatpee · 14/09/2011 12:48

voice over bits very cheesy

am a bit 50/50

really like her character, so am hoping it will get better

verytellytubby · 14/09/2011 12:49

Turned over after 10 minutes

deemented · 14/09/2011 12:54

Oh, i had wanted to watch this, but i missed it.

I'm glad i did now.

bonkers20 · 14/09/2011 12:56

I enjoyed it! I didn't hear the voice over bits though.

Oh well, I've always danced to my own tune.

bonkers20 · 14/09/2011 12:57

Not as good as Doc Marten though Grin

TobyLeWolef · 14/09/2011 13:01

Oh, God. I am horribly addicted to Doc Martin Blush

bonkers20 · 14/09/2011 13:36

Is it bad to be addicted to Doc Marten? Is it on a par with owning a toilet brush?

TobyLeWolef · 14/09/2011 13:44

Hmmm. I don't own a toilet brush, so perhaps not.

However, in my circle of friends/colleagues/family, Doc Martin is seen as the equivalent of Heartbeat or some such, in terms of uncool old-lady programmes.

LordOfTheFlies · 14/09/2011 14:33

I watched it last night because I was waiting for the washing machine to finish.

No storyline to speak of, kept waiting for it to turn a corner.

Won't bother next week TBH.

blodyn83 · 14/09/2011 14:41

Really disappointed as I usually love these types of programmes. The acting was poor, script was even worse and I can barely remember the characters they made so little an impression. Will not bother next week.

P.s. Is there some kind of by one get one free offer on ex Hollyoaks actors at the moment? Saw on the trailer for next episode that they've got another one making an appearance. Talk about scraping the barrel...

Voidka · 14/09/2011 15:57

I thought it was terrible.

One policeman working the whole case? The scientist girl just going along to the hospital and them just accepting her with open arms.

Also, surely the labs would have to be a bit more organised than that to be able to safeguard evidence from contamination?

It was as if they though Keith Allen and a bit of gore could carry it along.

mandoo · 14/09/2011 16:00

Terrible acting and very predictable and totally unrealistic. I lasted about 20 mins. What a shame as I loved waking the dead.

chickensaresafehere · 14/09/2011 16:09

Expected more from Keith Allen tbh, bring back 'Bodies' he was fab in that.
Will not be watching it next week!
