Did anyone else see this last night? I was in tears when that lady was talking about being forced to give her baby up for adoption in 1965. Interesting also to see how the statistics on single parents get twisted by the media to make it appear that children fare worse than they actually do.

If there's a repeat, it's well worth watching.

I missed that and had meant to watch it - can't see it on catch up TV so hope it is repeated. There was an interesting articile in the guardian I think it was two saturdays ago which gave the ACTUAL single mum statistics such as the average age of a single mum is 37, only a tiny % are teenagers and the % of single mums who work is similar to married mums etc.

It is repeated this week, but at silly times in the morning. BBC3 usually repeats things pretty regulary though.

I watched and found it very moving and was also shocked by the the way the media and politicians twisted things.

Quite liked how Jamelia presented it too.....she came across as lovely.

I saw this and wept buckets.
