Can't believe it's back already but I can't wait to see what the new judges are like! Anyone else?

There are always acts that return, year after year, and never get through. Gamu is too well known, surely, to try again. At the time, I expect the programme makers had no choice but to let her go, given the visa issues etc. But it did make a mockery of the show where two contestants who forgot their words and were awful (Cher and Katie) got through, and Gamu didn't.

SayCoolNowSayWolef · 20/08/2011 18:20

Have cracked open the Wine in preparation already. Bring on the Gary!

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:05

Am checking in, ready to be mean and bjitchy. We're staying on this one?

PortBlacksandIsLovelyInAutumn · 20/08/2011 19:10

Is this the thread?

PortBlacksandIsLovelyInAutumn · 20/08/2011 19:11

Not that i don't see why it wouldn't be obviously.....Grin

Raahh · 20/08/2011 19:12

Might as well stay here

I'm still not keen on the live auditions, but they are obviously not going to go back to the way it was. The auditions actually make me cringe a bit- but I still have to watch. I have vodka, nibbles, and a promise from DH that he will deal with the dcs. will see if that happens....

5 mins to go- too early for a drink?Smile

SayCoolNowSayWolef · 20/08/2011 19:12

Sue!

Bring on the bjitching :o

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:14

Howdy SayWolef, were you here last year under a different name?

SaulGood · 20/08/2011 19:17

I'm here, Gaviscon in hand. I only watch X Factor when I have access to MN. It's a group activity.

Raahh · 20/08/2011 19:18

And big yes to 'mean and bjitchy'- any one who wants to defend the poor deluded, exploited(!) ickle contestants (who queued for hours - without guns to their heads, btw- and yes, I've read ' Chart throb' and yes, we know they go through loads of auditions and they edit it to show the crap ones, and any other criticisms that you can trot out)can start their own thread!!

Anyway- X-Factor bingo-

-you owned that song
-you're like a mini Westshoite/Michael Buble/Cheryl Cole
-someone will sing Adele- deffo!

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:19

Me too Saul, it's not the same ranting and frothing alone.
Are you doing the pregnancy honours this year then? We can have another XF baby, after Raah's little Cowell. Raah - you're drinking this year Grin, yay.

SayCoolNowSayWolef · 20/08/2011 19:20

Hmmm

Maybe. 'twas a bit blurry what with all the having babies and such. Was under Dreema Gurl if that rings a bell. Honestly can't remember.

Saulgood X F is definitely a group activity. Not the same without
bjitching laughing at the auditionees.

Raahh · 20/08/2011 19:21

Mini Raahh, DD2 is currently trying to eat the dvd player. I suppose i should be supervising...must be bedtime!

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:21

You made it your own
Random Racist Comments (Louis only, similar to the Lenny Henry crack)
I am/not feeling it
Breath of Fresh Air
If could see you, they'd be very proud

Raahh · 20/08/2011 19:24

Omg- i had forgotten Louis's 'Mini Lenny henry' quip. He really is dumb, isn't he?

There will be no Simon to chew the end of his pencil, looking into space.Sad

SaulGood · 20/08/2011 19:25

Born to be a star
Any percentage over 100%

I'm 36 weeks so definitely having a baby before this one's over. I'm also hormonal and ranty so might cry/shout/bitch inappropriately. I make no apologies for this.

I have mixed feelings about the exploitation on here. Sometimes people clearly aren't well but I blame the family encouraging them as much as the producers who aren't providing any kind of pastoral care.

LadyBeagleEyes · 20/08/2011 19:27

This is my first xfactor on MN. I'm a watch it alone discuss it next day person with only a couple of people who understand.
I'm so looking foward to be with some like minded people.
And I have vodka.
And Blush I'll miss Simon, but looking forward to the new judges.
Why is Louis the only one that was kept? Surely he is the crappest judge of them all.

SaulGood · 20/08/2011 19:27

And if they do that 'million times yes' crap, I'll throw things btw.

SayCoolNowSayWolef · 20/08/2011 19:27

Don't forget the tearful 'I'm gonna give it my all.' and 'I want this more than ANYTHING'

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:28

Yay, another one. Will you call it Gary?

The audience loved you because of the idiot boards telling them to clap and the mawkish story we've been spinning
You look like a little pop star

SaulGood · 20/08/2011 19:28

And extra bingo points for the scenario where they stop somebody who's part way through a shit song, in a completely impromptu and unorchestrated way and say 'do you have another song' and they then nail it. Plus the one where the judges argue, send away the person and they then come back and nail it. Again, spontaneous. Hmm

SayCoolNowSayWolef · 20/08/2011 19:29

LadyBeagleEyes it's all about discussing it in the moment.

And yes I'll miss Simon too Blush

PortBlacksandIsLovelyInAutumn · 20/08/2011 19:29

I just want to sing, not be a pop star Hmm
I'm on a real journey Hmm

I'm going to sing a TT song because i love you Mr Barlow Hmm Hmm

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:29

Louis is my fave - there'd be no Bingo without him. And I love the bit where the faces all fall as they find out their place tickers are for Co.Sligo, Ireland and Louis is their mentor...

SuePurblybilt · 20/08/2011 19:31

YY to the second song and the 'go away and try again' thing. Wankers.
Do you think they will make another Bellamy/Wand Erection this year?
