That's it basically! What on earth is it? DS thinks it's great but I am befuddled by it!

OP posts:
InvaderZim · 14/07/2011 10:32

DH and I think it's perfect for stoners!

FoxyRevenger · 14/07/2011 10:34

It's a pile of old shit! Weird computer-generated sounding voice, god-awful gibberish being spoken...sigh.

It's no Nuzzle and Scratch, I'll tell ya.

happyhorse · 14/07/2011 10:42

Pile of old shit is spot on. I even hate hearing the advert.

peanutsmuggler · 14/07/2011 10:48

DD loves it!

I have to say it is very cute at the end when the little boy and baby jake are laying down having a cuddle, they look so adorable.

Anythings better than Grandpa in my Pocket and Jason friggin Mason.

professorsnape · 15/07/2011 16:38

I happen to love grandpa in my pocket!

so does DD

GwendolineMaryLacey · 15/07/2011 16:40

It's fucking madness and the bit when he wiggles his nappy-ed bottom makes me leave the room. It's like a fingernail/blackboard combo.

pinkthechaffinch · 15/07/2011 22:00

I quite like it and dd loves it!! Let's face it, compared to Waybuloo, it's a gritty hard hitting drama.

DD is 2.5 and currently obsessed with little babies. I think the programme is inoffensive enough, music not too irritating, nice visuals.

I'd rather that than Tweenies, Me Too or Big Cook, the list is endless.

LargeGlassofRed · 15/07/2011 22:04

Both Dts 2 love baby Jake! dt2 laughs the whole time it's on snd dt1 adores anything to do with babies.
Today in the car dt2 said 'mummy , mummy, I love baby Jake' his first ever sentence lol

BlueEyeshadow · 15/07/2011 22:05

DH and I both think it's all kinds of wrong but boys love it so looks like we're stuck with it for a while. Sigh.

breatheslowly · 15/07/2011 22:07

DD seems to like it, but it is cloying shit. The voices are better than 3rd and Bird and Small Potatoes. Grandpa in My Pocket has grown on me, except for the "Oh, no, not the shrinking hat, Grandpa" moment. Surely every child would be excited to have a Grandpa with a shrinking hat and the delivery is so stage school. I quite like Big Cook, but everything they make looks revolting.

georgie22 · 15/07/2011 22:12

Our 9 month old dd loves the advert for Baby Jake and squeals with delight and waves her arms uncontrollably every time it's on! Although she's not really bothered when the programme comes on.Seems a bit daft to me!

Tiffanywadhurst · 28/12/2011 14:39

My little girl thinks this is great, but seriously who on earth thought this was a programme worth making?!? Her speech is very good for her age but since watching a few episodes of this rubbish shes started adding in baby babble in place of the good language she was using arghh! if it come on its a race to the TV to turn it off!

MudAndGlitter · 28/12/2011 14:42

DS babbles. He's nearly 3 fgs he knows how to talk but every now and then he will start saying goggy gi yah repeatedly.
I hate baby jake.

MercyDulbottle · 28/12/2011 17:13

goggi gi yah, goggi gi yah, goggy gi yah, goggi gi yah..

happily drops Baby Jake out of top window of that windmill or lighthouse or whatever the feck it is paid for with tax credits i bet

MudAndGlitter · 28/12/2011 17:27

I'm just jealous of the lighthouse tbh.
