It's the USA version of the same series that tx-ed on BBC2. Same start to the story, same characters but a different ending.

There's a thread already started ready for us all to secretly love have a good moan at the new series and how it's not as good as the original.

Yes! definitely watch the bbc ones - the best thing on TV for so, so long. I actually envy you being able to watch them for the first time.
