Is anyone else watching this ?

I am LOVING it!! Its just a shame that it is only a six parter. Hoping that we get another series of it.

Our apartment block was shown on last nights Scott and Bailey (from a distance). Love the programme.

TheOriginalFAB · 27/06/2011 16:24

I missed the first one but I love it too and thought last night was the last so happy to see it is on again. I hope it comes back and think it will.

Funtimewincies · 27/06/2011 17:41

Also enjoying it, although you can spot the endings a mile off Grin.

Re the baby loss, I kept working through all of my miscarriages much to the Hmm of my boss. I was so scared of stopping and felt that it was the only way to stop everything crashing in. If I stopped, I'd never have got started again Sad. I'm sure that I seemed callous.

Mummyloveskisses · 27/06/2011 22:23

Love, love, loved this series... and last nights episode was brilliant, Lesley Sharp has been a fave actress of mine for years and she is amazing in this as always :)

MarioandLuigi · 27/06/2011 22:57

I just hope they are not heading towards Rachel losing her job and Janet dying. I really enjoyed it and its nice to see female policing shows seem to more popular just lately.

nulgirl · 27/06/2011 23:06

Think its great and I love the boss Jill. She is fab - very talented but funny at the same time Had never seen suranne jones in anything before but am warming to her character. Love the fact that they are all flawed but seem well rounded in a way. Great having so many female leads in a crime drama

GothAnneGeddes · 29/06/2011 06:04

Has anyone else noticed that the set director has a fixation with the colour orange? It's a bit ott.

dontquotem3 · 30/06/2011 00:14

Can't wait for the next ep. That Nick is a smarmy git if there ever was one.

Colour orange GAGeddes, I've not noticed - will be looking out.

GothAnneGeddes · 30/06/2011 01:08

You will not be able to miss it! I know that orange 'pops' on the screen, but it really is OTT here.

vogonmothership · 04/07/2011 12:10

Loved it. Never watched a whole cop series before. Got the Jeff storyline but not RG one. Brilliant.

Recommission please bosses!

MarioandLuigi · 04/07/2011 12:42

I hope that by Janet agreeing to do an interview with Jeff that that means a second series is already being considered.

They seem to have a lot of close ups on peoples face with the background is blurry. It makes my eyes go funny.

dontquotem3 · 04/07/2011 21:10

They have to do another series of this. Can't leave us hanging like that. Brilliant end to the series I think - wanting more! And, Gill is absolute class!

SunshineAndBlueSkies · 04/07/2011 22:26

I've been loving this too. Really enjoy the focus on the female leads. Intelligent, tough, sparky and well rounded.
The end of the last episode was fab.

SharonGless · 04/07/2011 22:35

Loved it although I may have to change my name Wink

Most realistic portrayal of female detectives that I have ever seen and having been one for a good few years I should know!

Collision · 04/07/2011 22:46

OOh loved this series.

Did you recognise the Boss Jill Godzilla was Steph Barnes from Coronation St years ago??

thebestisyettocome · 04/07/2011 22:57

The writer, Sally Wainwright worked very closely with a former DS in Manchester's MIT. That's why it feels really authentic. Another interesting fact is that Lesley Sharp is married in real life to the bloke she's supposed to be having an affair with Grin

AitchTwoOh · 04/07/2011 23:00

i LOVED it, thought the two leads were great but amelia bullmore was absolutely hilarious as jill, just hysterically funny. that ten second scene where she woke up on the sofa with a hangover had me hooting.

SunshineAndBlueSkies · 04/07/2011 23:01

I thought that was realistic snogging!

PandaG · 04/07/2011 23:01

loved the series, again hope there is another. The flawed leads and the ongoing threads make it compelling viewing. Smile

TheOriginalFAB · 05/07/2011 16:03

I watched it today and loved it.

diddl · 05/07/2011 17:17

I enjoyed it, but still didn´t warm to the Suranne Jones character.
I get that she was flawed, but there´s flawed & there´s downright irresponsible!

What else has Lesley Sharp been in?

I seem to remebered that she played someone who worked in a shop in a shopping centre & was seeing someone from a nearby shop?

Does that sound familiar to anyone?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 05/07/2011 17:20

She was in Clocking Off.
Loved this series. Perfect Sunday night TV.

diddl · 05/07/2011 17:43

I think I´ve found it.

Called "The Children" with Kevin Whately also.

wakeupandsmellthecoffee · 05/07/2011 18:13

love it . Its the uk version of Cagney and Lacey but ten times better .

SharonGless · 05/07/2011 21:59
Shock

Better than Cagney and Lacey you say?Angry

Interesting that the writer worked with a former DS in MIT - definitely the most authentic police detective programme I have seen. Was the DS male or female? If female I may have an idea who it is...
