Im not so fussed about Michelle Collins coming in this week but, boy, Corrie needs some new decent actors/characters in it. I thought tonight that Maureen Lipman would add abit of Northern comedy into it. Then again, am I imagining it or, was she Ken Barlows girlfriend once upon a time?

They should boot out those annoying Aunties and have this Top Tottie Trio move in. They would give Dev a run for his money.Don't know who they could be EyeCandy for or what they would do.

I think space could be made for them. The show needs something major to happen to it. The writing has gone down right down the nick. Where is Leanne? I cant cope with Cindy from Eastenders, she's rubbish. I would rather have seen Patsy Kensit running the pub.

All the soaps seem to take on 'known names' as new characters.
Diane in Emmers-she was a Liver Bird but she's fitted right in.

I dont like any of the younger ones in it tbh. Theyre all pretty mundane for such young good looking people. I wish one of them would be successful in their work/college life!! I really thought Chesney was going to make loadsamoney on that market stall or become a real delboy. Now, whats his prospects? teenage dad and baby niece to bring up?

I dont like how Gary is turning out. Not at all.

Karl is Robbie Ross from Taggart, it is just sooooo wrong. He should be speaking with a strong Glasgow accent.

Wasn't he good actor in his Taggart days?

Jbck could have written your post myself. Have considered stopping watching it recently and that thought has never crossed my mind before.

The Aunties have all the subtle humour of Pantomine Dames, lots of the good characters are gone and the storylines are just dragged out for far too long.

It really needs to get rid of Cindy and her boyfriend too, he sounds like he perfected his accent watching Ideal and it also needs to get its gentle humour back. Was always my favourite comedy but it has definitely lost that title.

Though, I was moved by Becky and Steve last night and thought Roy's performance was fabulous, as always.

As for love interest, could Simon Baker fall for Gail and she has to choose?

How about Nicholas Hoult for Fiz or perhaps Robert Glenister for Carla?

Surely the most likely suitor for Fiz now would have to be a prison officer?

And I hope Roy and Hayley take in Hope - weren't they Fiz's foster parents? They could claim to be honorary GPs.

Hope they do take in Hope too, and yes you've remembered correctly, Fiz entered Corrie when Roy and Hayley had her for Foster respite whilst her Mum was in Hospital.
