"Injustice" - worth watching?

For work-related reasons haven't seen any of this (or much other telly this week). Have heard mixed reviews, and there are quite a few episodes. Can watch on catch-up - is it worth watching?

I was wondering the same.
I watched Ep 1 on catch up then 10 minutes of Ep 2 .Kind of lost the plot after that.

( I did once spend a quiet day over Christmas/New Year watching State of Play -the series. It had James McVoy and David Morrison. It was billed as a tense political thriller. Thats a few wasted hourse of my life I'll never get back)

Don't want to waste time on Injustice in the hope it picks up!

I thought it was a bit rubbish - didn't have many people in it I could warm to and didn't think much of the ending. (I did skip ep4 but watched the others).

I find these 5 parter ITV things all the same really - hyped up but, despite the huge length of time for the programme, all feels a bit 'bleugh' and nothingy by the end.

Not worth it - started really well then got slower and slower with rubbish ending; (just my opinion mind);

glad I caught this thread. Started to watch it on catch up yesterday, really couldnt get into it. Bring back Spiral et al.

Haven't seen the last one as dh was out so we recorded it and haven't had the chance to watch it yet. I suspect I'm going to agree with the others though.

I don't think we're really meant to like the characters. I'm not sure, but I think point is that those involved in the legal professions - and particularly those lauded to have such great integrity - are just as bad as the rest of us, and sometimes worse because their position allows them the opportunity. As I haven't seen the end, this is just a working hypothesis, as otherwise I'm not really sure what the point of it was.

Just catching up on taped episodes of this at the moment and I have to say that I am loving it!

We saw the last episode night before last. It was a bit meh, but at least the nasty cop got what he deserved. That was, for me, the bit that had me almost screaming (but I have been reading one of the dv threads here, which has had a profound effect on me).

Otherwise, they were all thoroughly dishonest and unpleasant people. Very true to life.

I am waiting for dh to to have an evening where we can watch the last episode of Shadowline (which really gets me tense!).

Very disappointed in it - very simplistic and lacking in subtle characterisation - for example, the bad detective was completely, iredeemably bad. As indeed was the seedy friend of the 'hero' who he was defending. Very predictable that he turned out to be guilty and the discovery that led to his killing the girl seemed lazy plotting - ah, I know, let's make him a paedophile as well!!

Good actors, deserved better.

Other series which have run over 5 nights, such as the previous one by the same writer, Anthony Horowitz, about a car crash, and several on BBC, such as 'Criminal Justice', were better, IMO.

I watched it but it seemed to be very stretched out and everything happened in the last episode.

I thought the ending was a load of rubbish. I could just about deal with the policeman dieing. The straw that broke the camels back for me was the barrister getting away with both murders. Particularly the second one. Surely they had CCTV in the carpark. Then the pathetic ending with wifey saying "We are going to be ok arent we?" Yeah right missus!!!

I agree - I thought the end was really rushed, like they had been meandering along until they thought 'Shit, we only have half hour left, better wrap this up'

The child porn thing was ridiculous too IMO.

What is very telling to me is that Imogen Stubbs (ex wife) and JohnMcglynn (nasty boss at oil company) have not got the programme on their imdb page and also Nat Parker is down as being "Officer" in most of the episodes and only as Martin Newell in the last episode!!
