Corrie: are we really meant to think he's a murderer?

John Stape, that is.

Are Charlotte's parents dead in the soundproofed basement? Will Chesney be next?

And how long before this completely improbable storyline is over?!?!?!

Im just watching it. I hope you are joking!!

Imnotaslimjim · 16/05/2011 21:54

They're not dead. And it will all be over soon apparently

kitkatya · 16/05/2011 21:57

I actually fast forwarded so I dont know what happened. I hate that storyline.

alemci · 16/05/2011 21:59

yes it is just so embarrassing and stupid to watch.

meditrina · 16/05/2011 22:00

So the likeliest way to precipitate a showdown will e a confrontation with Chesney. Then perhaps it'll all go away.

What's Ches's girlfriend's name? Although we've not seen her hurl, I've been pleased they've made morning sickness so evident.

Also now under discussion here, where it's suggested he could have just shut them in the soundproofed cellar. I suppose they made a thing of the soundproofing for a reason?

OP posts:
EdithWeston · 17/05/2011 23:01

Yes, I think the soundproofing must be important.

I don't see how he could talk his way out of the wedding ring or the dropped wallet with own name documentation in it. But could he really overpower two of them, whether to imprison or harm/murder them?

meditrina · 18/05/2011 22:56

I've just seen on a Corrie blog: "you?ll have to tune in next week but let?s just say he?s done something nasty to them down in the basement. Ooh, it?s going to be fun when it all comes out in the wash".

What might count as "nasty"?

It's all going to play out between 29 May and 3 June. Presumably Fiz's acquisition of money from the estate of the late Mrs Fishwick will also come out at the same time. So what will happen to Hope?

gregssausageroll · 19/05/2011 11:28

Chesney gets hope.

EdithWeston · 19/05/2011 20:28

John's got form for unlawful imprisonment, hasn't he? Rosie Webster in hid granny's attic.

midlandsmumof4 · 20/05/2011 00:29

Why would Chesney get Hope???? Confused. Thiught John was going on the run. Is there something about the factory floor being dug up?

EdithWeston · 20/05/2011 06:24

I suppose Chesney might get Hope because he's a relative willing/able to take her (assuming John ends up in a secure hospital and Fiz getting a custodial sentence - though surely it would take a while before she was actually imprisoned). Though wouldn't it be the case that SS would have to approve any arrangement?

But wasn't Fiz going on about more medical results for Hope?

Listmaker · 20/05/2011 11:23

Think John's going to kill himself and so if Fizz is in prison then Ches will have Hope (and presumably his own child later!)

meditrina · 20/05/2011 19:39

Quick question about Hope (who gets cardiac results in today's episodes):

How many weeks was she born at?

OP posts:
atswimtwolengths · 23/05/2011 23:06

How many's that then that've gone to prison?

Deirdre and Tracey.
Steve in the pub and Becky.
Gail.
Little David.

Anyone else?

EdithWeston · 23/05/2011 23:15

Gary Windass. Graeme (little David's cellmate).

And Jim's there now, so he is.

MurielTheActor · 24/05/2011 15:44

Does it really hold up that Fizz wouldn't think 'Oo John's behaving a little strangely... again. perhaps I should have a word with the doctor...' Hmm
