SPOILERS!!! Grin
for those that haven't watched yet.

I shall now admit that, even though Tennant is still My Doctor, I am warming to Matt Smith more.

I sobbed when he had to say goodbye to the TARDIS.

And a question, why didn't he react/understand the River in the Forest comment?

I need to watch it again ...so much I didn't follow! What was the river in the forest comment?! Oh and when he was talking about that time lord did he confirm that they can regenerate into women as well an I am sure he mentioned the 13 times thing?

PersonalClown · 14/05/2011 19:50

Rory said her last 'human' words were 'The only water in the Forest is the river'.
Blindingly obvious to me. He has met River in the Library in his timeline, hasn't he?

TimeLords can be woman also. And I'm sure they've changed the 13 regenerations thing.

I'll see if I can find something.

Anyone else a little disappointed they didn't go back to a much older control room...my and DP were guessing doctor #4 at least....

futurity · 14/05/2011 19:54

I had to point out to the rest of the family about the control room as they didn't notice it was an old one!

PersonalClown · 14/05/2011 19:54

Ah it was in the 'Doctor's Death' episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures.
Clyde asked how many times he can regenerate and the answer was 507.

That looks like it was a joke though? Difficult to tell! Sure he said in tonight's episode about that timelords 13 regenerations?

teej · 14/05/2011 20:48

I went a bit misty eyed

i missed the 13 regens comment but isn't there an implication that without the time lords around to say what he can and cannot do he can basically just go on as long as he wishes? so 13 or 507 it's pretty irrelevent really. after all the master maxed out on his and then got a bunch more in the classic series did he not?

that comment about the water in the forest - why would the tardis want him to know something from his past unless it was a clue about what is to come? she needs him so she can keep on travelling the universe so i'd place bets on it actually being a coded spoiler to keep him safe in the future.

maybe she's saying what's happening now is confusing (so you can't see the wood for the trees - FOREST) but that River will help him through (water sustains life). i don't know - for some reason i think the taris is warning the Doctor that Amy and Rory can't be relied upon - not necessarily in a bad, evil way - maybe they are just being controlled or they will make poor decisions. so he needs to keep an eye on what river does as her decisions won't be coming from the wrong place?

or maybe it is just simply the river - he will need to follow a river to escape from a future crisis when it seems like he is hemmed in on all sides? Hmm

dr who is way too over dramatic these days. orchestra's and scenes to play on your heartstrings. it's so over egged Grin

i LOVED that episode. i said to DH it was like "stardust" - he then tells me it was written by the bloke that wrote "stardust"! i loved it. i had a lump in my throat when he said goodbye, harked back to my Tom Baker days of Dr Who, he always called the tardis old girl didnt he?

i am loving this series soooooo much!

mumatron quite honestly, the link is mostly interviews with the cast and a mad american anchor woman who knew nothing about the show getting a crash course in Doctor Who!

what you do see are some characters who are supposed to be in the last episode and - in theory - one line of dialogue that is not said by either any of the main cast or any of the baddies/characters we have ever met.

so you see i see that as quite spoilery because i now think mmm that character and that character and that character are in the eppy so what does that mean Hmm?

but you can't directly glean anything about the episode from it - and if it helps that is not why i said what i did above about the river comment Smile

teej · 14/05/2011 21:19

Annie Spoilers!!!
Hope you love it as much as i did Smile

Vicar Gaiman is just fantastic Grin
