What a joy to watch this series from the start again, it is so good, all the characters, stories, the way it's shot, the music etc

Anyone else out there who can revel in the detail of it all with me?

We watch it every day! Pleased to see Alex Kingston turn up in today's episode (although she's changed from being Corday to River Song to me...)

mosschops30 · 11/05/2011 18:39

I know, its the highlight of my day, i make sure ds2 is asleep, put my fone on silent sit back with a cuppa and enjoy Smile
i am loving carter and greene all over agsin.
Excited to see corday today, although doesnt she go out with benton before she gets together with mark?

God it's awesome isn't it? Just grips you. I had forgotten how good it is. That episode today when they had to intubate ghe guy with spinal injury as his wife sat there. I was in bits.

Now watching 25 hrs in A and E on C4 for some of the real deal.

valentine4 · 11/05/2011 22:45

I love it - I am the exact same made sure they are all tucked up in bed or occupied and stick it on. My 12 yr old is really enjoying it too. I will hold my hands up and admit I am shallow - I love dr. doug!!!

AliciaFlorrick · 12/05/2011 18:20

I've Sky plussed all of these, just finished the end of series 2. It's so fab isn't it? Although I've a huge George Clooney fan I've got to confess to loving Mark Greene and this time around Dr Carter.

When I was watching it with the DC's the other week and it was the episode of the boy trapped in the drainage pipe and they needed to phone for an ambulance the DC's couldn't understand why nobody used their mobile phone and why they were having to break into buildings to use a phone. These episodes just feel like yesterday to me but the world has changed enormously in such a short period of time.

myproblemblob · 13/05/2011 12:15

I too have watched it since the start its on sky+ and its my 7-8pm every evening treat .. I forgot too how utterly brilliant it was and I was really looking forward to alex kingston in it as I remebered she was rather a good character although they all are .. casting was fantastic

carocaro · 14/05/2011 19:39

Alicia - sign of age, flitting from Carter to Green, made me laugh out loud cos I am doing the same thing, 10 years on and two kids under my belt, still think Greene ex-wife is a bitch. Will have to get the tissues out when Mark Greene dies at the beachhouse...........

I couldn't/can't wait for each episode so I bought the boxset.

Nothing better than an ER day!

chipstick10 · 15/05/2011 12:55

I am absolutely loving the re runs of e r. It is a joy. The acting is astoundingly good. Love Greene, carter and benton. Her name escapes me now but the character living with aides. She is lovely. Such a serenity about her. The stories are brill, gripping and well played out.

BibiThree · 16/05/2011 16:14

I totally agree, it has had me in tears more than any other programme and despite having every single episode on dvd in the cupboard, I still put it on every day when i'm not at work.

Dr Kovac [swoon]

Itsjustafleshwound · 16/05/2011 16:56

Are the showing the entire series??

It is a real treat to sit down and watch ER - the old episodes are the bet, but I never liked it once the original cast moved on and Abby came on the scene ...

practicallyimperfect · 16/05/2011 16:59

I sky+ it every day and watch it when ds goes to bed. Or I save them up and watch on my afternoon off! Love it.

I have more affection for Benton and Weaver this time, as I know what they turn out like.

AliciaFlorrick · 16/05/2011 18:14

I agree practically when I'm watching it now I interpret Weaver in a completely different way as to when I watched it first time round, I like her now.

I think they're going to show it from start to finish aren't they? Oh I hope they do.

I am so looking forward to seeing Dr Romano again he was my absolute favourite (I'm a few episodes behind on sky +).

MissGreenEyes · 17/05/2011 17:56

I bought the Boxed Set and am ploughing my way through it. So many episodes I had forgotten. Now I am older I can relate to so much more in it, especially episodes with kids. I have shed a few tears over the last few weeks watching some of it I can tell you. It really was fab.
